Chapter Ten

"What's it like being a mated wolf?" Jasmine waked next to me towards my next class bumping shoulders with me. She had a huge grin on her face.

"Bro,It's terrible man. I hate being mated" I said wearing a sarcastic grin as I shoved her back. It's been two days since Asher and I mated. I was very excited. I still felt like I was on cloud nine.

"I didn't think I was that bad" I heard Asher's laugh from behind me. I smiled as she wrapped her hands around my waist. I rolled my eyes before turning to Jasmine

"You see this? She's stalking me now,She's so clingy" I said this causing to Jasmine to snort with laughter and Asher's face turned bright red as she growled lowly.

"You two are going to be late. It's last period,you guys can last another forty five minutes" Jasmine said as she made her way towards the empty class room she had to herself

"I'll see you later" I kissed Asher on the cheek before chasing after Jasmine. I had decided to skip y last class as I already knew french. No need to take a french class. "Jasmine" I wined walking into the class room. All the lights were off and as I went in I ran into someone's chest.I looked up and saw an older man staring at me. His eyes were a bright red and his face held a huge grin.

"You must be the Alpha's new mate" I took a few steps back as my I allowed my wolf to raise to the surface ."Oh I must be scaring you. I am Victor Dale" He stuck his hand out to me and lowered his gaze. The smile never leaving his face.

"Haley Blake" I don't know why but I knew this guy wasn't going to hurt me "May I ask what you are doing on our land?" I was still as there was something to this guys scent I could not decipher.

"Oh I am visiting my mate, She is Jasmine Copper. She went to the bathroom." My eyes widened slight not knowing the Jasmine had a mate

"She never said anything about having a mate.This is weird to ask but what are you?" My face warmed up as I lowered my head.

"Oh my. I never truly introduced myself. As I said I am Victor Dale,I am a dragon shifter. Next in line to the throne" I gasped which quickly turned into a smile

"I have never met a dragon shifter before that's freaking awesome!" Victor chuckled lightly as he moved towards the chairs in the room.

"Come sit,I'll share anything you want to.."

"Victor!" He was cut of by Jasmine's surprised shout. I turned to see her standing by the classroom door with wide eyes

"Oh hello dear,I was just about to tell Haley about my kind" He grinned sitting down in the chair. Jasmine's eyes went wide before she walked over to me and bowed her head in submission.

"Luna Haley,I am so sorry for inviting someone onto your land with out permission" Victor's eye's held distraught.I knew he didn't like his mate bowing to someone who was on the same level as her. I growled lowly causing her to jump. I sat down and sat sideways in the chair. I gave Jasmine a lazy grin and patted my lap. She looked at me confused but none the less made her way over to sit on my lap

"There is no need to show your submission. I am not your Alpha. Your mate is a very nice man. He is also higher then I am." I whispered in her ear knowing that Victor was listening "You are no longer an omega. I want you to be my right hand man until he calls you home" Jasmine looked at me in shook before jumping off of my lap. "What? Did I say something wrong?" I raised my eyebrows at Jasmine.

"You are asking me to jump from the lowest rank to one of the highest?" I nodded allowing a lazy grin to rest on my face

"Take the chance Jasmine" Victor spoke "I want you safe and you being an omega isn't safe" His eyes held sorrow and compassion. "I have to go. Haley I'll speak with you later. I can see you hold great interest in the dragon community." I nodded my head as he made his way towards the window. He bowed towards us one more time before jumping from the window

"You have a mate?" I squealed turning to Jasmine who's face held no expression

"I met him when I went with Asher on a patrol. He was here to see Alpha Dawson. I basically rejected him before realizing I really did want a mate. He's waiting for me to finish school. He's twenty six" I nodded "You can't tell anyone!" She quickly added turning to me "Alpha Dawson can't know he's been coming or he'll punish me" Jasmine's eyes held true fear. Tears in her eye as she practically begged me. My wolf growled lowly in my head wondering what had happened in the past to scare her this badly. I didn't say anything but just nodded my head. We sat in silence for a few minutes before the school bell rang causing us both to jump. I forgot we were even in class. I stood up from my chair grabbing Jasmine's hand to the door but she stopped me as she pulled a bottle o perfume out of her bag. She sprayed her body and mine,I realized she was covering Victor's scent

"Thank you" Jasmine whispered before moving past me and walking out the room not looking back at me. I stood there until I felt someone behind me.

"I'm here to take you home" Chloe threw her arm over my should as she flashed me a grin. I frowned

"Where's Asher?" Chloe rolled her eyes at me before pushing me forward

"Just walk. She'll meet you at home" I growled at her before walking a few paces in front of her

"Come on Luna. You don't like your step sister? She quickly got up to me throwing her arm around my waist "We can be best friends" I snorted before sending her a smile "There you go baby cakes" I chuckled softly at energetic brunette who's face still held a huge grin. She seemed to hate me yesterday. "Asher wanted me to take you straight home but I want to get to know you a bit" She led me towards a black corvette. As we got closer I could see the interior was a blood red and the seats were leather.

"Wow" I whistled under my breath at the car. It was beautiful

"You like? People say it match my personality" She grinned at me again this time I noticed small fangs in her mouth

"She's a hybrid" My wolf grumbled under her breath. I stared at the girl in awe. I was meeting so many new species. She raised an eyebrow at me before smirking

"You didn't know I was a hybrid did you?" I shook my head at her causing her to chuckle "I'm a hybrid. I was born a wolf but that's a story for another time" She winked before climbing into the driver's seat of the car.

It's almost 2am so I am going to bed. It's sorta short but you know I said I wanted to try and get more updates out for you lovely people. I also want to dedicate this chapter to the sweetheart who left me a very nice comment on the book.<3

I am also working on another story which will be coming up later this month. I have to get a cover made but first is finding a person who is willing to do it ^~^
