After a few hours of trashing my house, they finally left because they needed to start practicing for the upcoming concert. They’re finally playing in the Hollywood Bowl, I mean, that will be epically legend-wait for it-dary! Then Ryan called, “Hey, are you back in LA yet?”
“Yup. What can I do for you, doc?”
He chuckled, “I’m not a doctor yet.”
“But you will.”
“But not yet.”
“But you will.”
“Are you free tomorrow?” He changed the subject,
“Why?”
“Can’t friends hang out?” He retorted,
“Of course, but…”
“But?”
“I can’t.”
“Because?”
“I’m spending my night with Nate.”
“Who’s Nate?”
I paused and gasped in mock disbelief, “Do I smell jealousy?”
“Uh… No.”
“I’ll be with Nate.” I repeated,
“Are you sure? You’re choosing him over me?”
“Calm down, tiger.” I giggled, “It’s not what you think. You don’t know who Nate Fink is?”
With all his innocence he asked, “Is he hot?”
“He’s very hot.”
“That hot?”
“I saw his butt once, damn.”
“That is just plain wrong.”
I laughed, “Ryan?”
“What?”
“You’re an idiot.”
“…”
“Nate’s a two year old.”
“…”
“He’s Cubbie’s kid, Ryan.”
He sheepishly chuckled, “Oh, when?”
“I don’t know, when Cubbie calls.”
“So you’re mine half of the day?” I could feel his annoying smirk,
“Where are you going with this, pal?”
“Do you like surprises?”
“No.”
“Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow!”
“Where are you ta-”
“I’ll be at your place when I get there! We have no time! Bye! Don’t go anywhere!” Then the beeping came on, meaning that he has hung up.
“Asshole.” I muttered.
When Ryan said that he’ll be there when he gets there, he literally means that he’ll be there the moment he can hear you shuffle out of bed. I learned that last year. Thankfully, I woke up at around eleven so I wasn’t cranky and all. The moment I set my foot on the floor, Ryan knocked. “Ryan, how long were you there?”
“I just got here.” He replied,
“Are you sure?”
“I swear. Now, open up!”
