Samwise Gamgee X Hobbit!Reader (Lord of the Rings) Sam's Little Traveller

You were a Hobbit. A very adventurous one at that and you were also very good with a sword. You'd often be away from the Shire with Gandalf trading with people but mostly on your own with your horse Nina. You would always travel to Rivendell where your parents were being looked after since you could not due to your loss of housing and Rivendell was the only place that had the medicine to treat them. Being around Gandalf always helped your mood.

Coming into the Shire with Gandalf you saw all the children coming up to you both. "(Y/N), Gandalf," you heard them yell. When you were in the Shire you would always braid the girl's hair with the flowers from Rivendell's forest and bring back the boys a new soccer ball as they would often be worn out by the time you came back from the use.

"Hey you guys," you said jumping off Nina's back and hugging all of them in a group hug. "How have you all been?" you asked them. A chorus of 'good' and 'well' met your ears. You smiled and took a new ball out of the bag on Nina's back. When the boys saw it their smiles grew. "Let's go have a game," you shouted and raced them down to a flat field and started kicking it towards one of the makeshift goals you'd helped them make. As you neared one of the goals you saw one of the boys pulling an older Hobbit about your age over to the goals. All the girls clustered around you. You smiled. "It's game time."

-Time Skip-

After quite a few rounds of soccer you and the girls sat out. You grabbed the flowers from your satchel and started braiding the girl's hair while watching the boys and the older Hobbit play.

It was great fun. After you finished the last girl's hair, you packed up your things and waved 'Goodbye' to the kids. Only then did you get a good look at the older Hobbits face. He had red, curly hair, hazel eyes and a round face. The first word that came to your head when you saw him was 'cute'. You blushed and looked down. "Ooooo (Y/N)'s blushing!" you heard one of the girls say. "(Y/N) and Sammy, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" the boys sung. You bushed harder. The Hobbit slowly walked over to you and started laughing when he heard what the kids were chanting. "I'm Samwise Gamgee," he said holing out his hand. "But you can call me Sam." "(Y/N) (L/N)," you replied shaking his hand. "Wait. The (Y/N)(L/N)?" Sam said staring at you. You laughed. "I'm a 'The' now?" you asked. Just as you were about to reply a girl came up to you and tugged at your sleeve. "What can I do for you?" you asked turning around. "She wants to see you," she said. You thanked her, picked up your things, waved to Sam and walked to a small hut near the start of the village. As soon as you opened the door a small girl stumbled over to you.

"Hewo Sis," She said jumping into your arms. "I miss you." I missed you to," you replied hugging her. "When are you leaving?" your aunty asked coming into the room. "Tomorrow morning," you sighed putting your sister down. "Don't weave mwe," your little sister cried. You slowly bent down. "Come with me," you told her taking your hand. You both walked down towards a creek near the edge of the forest. Once you got there you placed her on your lap and sat down. "Watch," you said. As soon as you were quiet fireflies started to come out. You watched her stare in wonder and smiled. After a while your sister fell asleep and so had your legs. Without waking her up you stood up and took her back home. Once you got there you tucked her in and took your place on the couch looking out of the window. "I'm going to miss this place," thought and feel asleep.

-Time Skip-

You were standing outside near the stables where Nina was. "Goodbye Munchkin," you said to your sister. She sniffled and hugged you tight. "Don't go," she said. You sighed. "I have to. For mummy and Daddy. I'll come back to you," you said letting go, kissed her cheek and climbed onto Nina's back. You stared trotting down the road towards to edge of the Shire. "Miss (Y/N)," you heard a male Hobbit yell. You turned around and the man ran up to you. "Miss, Sam asked me to give this to you," he said holding out a chain with a wolf head on it. You smiled. "Thank you..." you said and waited. "Oh. Meriadoc Brandybuck, but you can call me Merry." Thank you Merry," you said taking the chain and galloping off. "Thank Sam for me," you shouted and left.

You'd been in Rivendell for over 2 months when you heard that 4 Hobbits, a man called Aragorn and a wizard were coming to Rivendell to meet an elf prince, a dwarf and a prince of Gondor.

You were sitting in your room when Elrond came into your room. "I would like you to join me," he said and you followed him out of your room and into the council room. You looked around and your eyes stopped on the 4 Hobbits. "Sam? Merry?" you asked. Their heads turned to look at you and their faces broke into wide grins. "Hello," you said before they both ran up and hugged you. Merry let go but Sam stayed. "I know I hardly know you and vice versa but I was wondering if... if you would want to... go on a... date with me?" he stuttered. You giggled. "I would love to Sam," you replied. Sam smiled. "Thank you (Y/N)," he said hugging you. "Wait. She's The (Y/N) (L/N)?!" you heard someone say and you laughed. You were going to enjoy this.
