I'm very pissed off right now.
So I was forced to listen to pop music today and I realized just how terrible the messages are in some popular songs today.
For instance: Stay High by Tove Lo
a popular song that I have heard on the radio many times, it basically means that she has to take drugs, constantly high and basically wrecking her life all because someone broke up with her. (I'm sorry if you like this song but I think it has a terrible meaning) now what makes me pissed is that I was hanging out with some girls who were blasting this song on repeat singing it at the top of there lungs, and I realized this is what society excepts today

Now here's a song that I actually like :Carolyn by black veil brides a song that I have never heard outside my room unless I'm with some of my friends who like bvb, the song is basically saying that even though times are hard you are never alone and you will get through it. Now I told those girls the song tittle and who it was by and they told me and I quote "that it's just some emo song" then continued to ask if I was emo I handled it by yelling at them and walking away 'we were at a park'

This made me so angry today it was not even funny

Ps I don't hate all pop songs I like some selected ones like riptide by Vance Joy stuff like that I can deal with but some are just so terrible it makes me sad.
