I managed to keep myself away from Ryder all day. I don't care if he says I can tell him anything. I don't care if he told me I can trust him.

I'm just not ready for him to know I like him and about that other girl, it hurt me.

"Hey, why haven't we been hanging out?" I shut my locker to see Beth.

"Sorry.. I've been busy." I didn't technically lie to her, I just skipped out the parts about me and Ryder.

"We need to go to the mall this afternoon." Beth declared. She grabbed my hand, and pulled me toward the doors of the school. She let go when we reached the parking lot.

Since there wasn't no way out of this, I just followed her.

"This is going to be so much fun!" She said jumping out of the car. I opened my door and stepped out.

"Okay." Was all I could respond. I didn't really care for the mall much. I come here maybe twice a year. Unlike Beth, she comes here like five times a month.

"Where first?" She asked me.

"I really don't care." She stopped and looked around.

"Let's go to hot topic!" She said before dragging me down the long hall of the mall.

"Please let me go Beth! I can walk."

She released my hand once again. We entered the store that I probably hate most.

I sat on the circle couch thing, and waited for her to pick some clothes and try them on. After ten or so minutes, she came up to me with at least ten shirts, two dresses, flats, and pants.

"Are you really trying all these on?" I gestured my hand to the big pile on her arm.

"Yes." She turned on her heel and entered the dressing room.

I pulled my phone out to see I had 5 texts from Ryder.

Ryder: where are you?

Ryder: can we talk?

Ryder: did you leave scewl yet?

Ryder: school*

Ryder: please answer me Casey. I want to talk about what happened this morning. I've been worried sick to my stomach all day. I'm scared I did something to hurt you, and I'd never dream of it. But if I did, I'm sorry.

I locked my phone back just in time to see Beth walk out in a dress she picked up. It had rhinestones on the top, and of course it was strapless. The color was a baby blue, and it came up to her knees. It looked really good on her.

"That's really pretty!" I gushed. She blushed.

"Well we do have a winter dance and I thought the colors would go good."

"True."

She smiled before turning around to try on other clothes.

"Hey you don't have to show me unless you don't know wether or not it looks good. Got that?"

"Yep!" She hollered back.

I pulled my phone out and went on Facebook. As I scrolled through the new feed, I saw pictures of me, then of Ryder and the blonde walking in, and then me and Ryder, but when I still had tears running down my face.

I read the caption.

Look who it is. The dweeb and the bad boy. Oh wait, sorry dweeb, looks looks like Ryder moved on to someone new.
