Saving Him

Chapter 28

"Well hello there" I looked up from the persons chest to see his face. A smiling one at that. My heart dropped instantly, because of not wanting to see him. Or deal with him. Plus didn't he say he dropped out? Are you even aloud back into school after you drop out? Plus wasn't he suppose to graduate last year if he actually stayed in school.

"What do you want?" I said through gritted teeth.

"You, obviously. I thought you knew that by now." He winked.

"In your wildest dreams Tyler." I rolled my eyes.

"Never. I'll get you eventually."

"No you won't. I have people on my side to protect me from you." I spat the word you at him. He thinks this, but it won't happen. I got Ry- never mind. I got Mason, and Colton to help, and maybe even Beth.

"So you think." He walked passed me while smirking. Okay what is up with that boy and his ego? The bell rung, which means in late for class. Just great.

I finished my trip down the long halls to my next class. I opened the door to see no one in there. I looked at the board to see to meet in the library. Um okay?

I closed the door again, huffed, then made my way back to the front of the building where I just recently came from. I opened the doors to the library and sure enough my class was there.

I put my books in my locker, and shut it, just to come face to face with Mason.

"Um hi?" I questioned him. He looked worried.

"Have you seen Ryder?" He blurted out quickly.

"No why?"

"Well I got a text from him." He reached into his picket and pulled out his phone, unlocking his code, then handing me it.

Ry: Mason... I really enjoyed hanging out with you this year. Your a really cool dude, and you'll always be my best friend. I'll keep every memory in my heart. Wait that sounds cheesy. Dang it, I've been hanging out with Casey too much. (It's not a bad thing). But I jut wanted to say, please don't come looking for me, you'll see me soon.

I read the text at least three times. This is just weird.

"Your not the only one who got a text either Mason." I commented. I pulled my phone out and went to Ryder's messages, and let him read it.

"Okay this is just weird. He said how he loved having us around pretty much. But he broke up with you?" He sounded shocked at that last part.

"I'm afraid so." I sighed.

"Hey guys, I have a question." I turned to my right to see Colton coming up to us, while looking down at his phone. "Read this."

I grabbed his phone to see what he meant.

Ryder: you've always been a cool dude Colton, I'm gonna miss that the most. But don't worry, don't miss me if I'm gone. I'll be home soon.

"Colton. Casey and I got messages from Ryder too. But Ryder broke up with her." Mason said.

"Are you serious? Why would he break up wth you? Your all he talks about." A light blush made its way to my cheeks from his statement.

"Okay something is going on here. I'm not quite sure what it is, but I'm going to find out." Mason said, then walked away. I agree with him. Something is really strange about this. All three of us got a text from Ryder about how he'll be back soon, that he liked being around us, and not to worry and such. But that's kinda hard not too. Not only was he on my mind before because of his message, but now he's going to be there a lot more, until I figure this out.

I opened the door to my house, and walked in. Of course the house is empty like usual. I placed my bag down, and headed to the living room and turned on the tv.

I flipped through the different channels until I found something I wanted to watch. The Walking dead. If you don't know what that show is, it's based on a world where a guy went into a coma, he woke up to find the world has been turned into zombies. As he goes along he finds people and they make a pack. Then they go around trying to find a cure, while killing zombies. They run into tons of trouble by other people who wants to kill them, but other plans happen. I'm currently watching season five re run, because season seven isn't on yet.

The governor came in with his tank, and then someone knocked in my door. Wow, great timing whoever you are. This is the best part.

I opened the door to reveal Beth.

"Beth?" I questioned, since she's been crying. Or I'm guessing cause her eyes are puffy and red, and of course the black smears, so yeah she has been crying.

"Tyler left me. He said he likes another girl." Her lip quivered.

"You and him weren't even classified as dating though." I made that comment, be aside its true.

"I don't care. I really liked him." She started to cry.

"Beth, forget about him. He's not worth it. Trust me. He's a loser, and a self absorbed teenage boy. All he cares about is parties and getting girls in bed with him. Just leave him be so you don't fall into his trap." She looked up at me, then started to look around.

"Okay, thanks." She smiled, nodded, then walked away skipping.

Okay that is weird. Did my speech really move her? No pun intended. That was a suckish pun.

I closed the door, then walked back to the living room to finish my episode, but it wasn't on the tv anymore. Something else was. A long message?

That's all that was plastered onto the tv. My heart sped up, and my palms got sweaty. What do they mean one down three to go?

I'm sorry this is a bad chapter.. It's mainly just a filler chapter. But next chapter will be more interesting and a lot of things are about to go down :) so until next time ..
