Saving Him

Chapter 34

The person who emerged from under the stall, also screamed.

Wait I recognize that scream. I opened my eyes, to see the person already gone. I stood up,  and slowly unlocked the door, peaking out. Of course I didn't see anyone. I opened the door fully and looked out.

In the right corner of the bathroom, sat the person.

"Mason!" I screamed running to him, wrapping my arms around him.

"Casey?" He question before wrapping his arms around me.

"I thought you were gone. I thought they took you." My eyes started to water, but not of sadness, but of joy.

"I was, but I snuck out. I punched the guy a couple times which ended him to be knocked out. I made my escape then." I unwrapped my arms from around him. Maybe he can give me the answers I've been needing.

"I have a couple questions, and be honest."

"What is it?" His face went from smiling to normal, as if waiting for the question of... I don't know actually.

"Who is it that took you?" He rubbed the back of his neck.

"I don't know honestly. They wore a ski mask around me the whole time. I tried to pull it off, but it was connected to his shirt. He talks a couple times, and I can promise it's not the voice of Tyler. Maybe Tyler is in the clearing with this.

"I still don't trust him." I commented under my breath.

"What's the other question?"

"Did you see Ryder?"

"Not at all. I looked around the place and I didn't see anything that could show he was there. Unless if he was, he didn't talk."

"I don't know. This is really bothering me though. I want to find him, but I have nothing. Nothing is helping me on finding him. He's texted me a couple times, but that's about it. He told me from the last text that he'll see me soon. But I don't know if that's him, or the person that captured him."

"I don't know either. I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault Mason."

The bathroom door opened and a girl with blonde hair walked in. Actually, not any girl with blonde hair, it was Jayden.

She looked at Mason and I, then let out a loud scream.

"Why are you in the girls bathroom!" She screamed.

"I- uh. I'm. I'll be going now." Mason pushed passed me, and out the door. Which means I'm left in here with Jayden. Great.

"So. I see your back here at school." She fiddled with her thumb and pointer finger.

"What's in it for you? Can't you just leave me alone?" I started walking, to pass her, but she stepped in front of me, and pushed me back.

"I'm not through with you." She spat.

"Then get on with it. I have places to be." I said through gritted teeth.

"Since Ryder is gone, I believe it's all your fault. I bet you ran him away by your annoying, stupid self. Just to let you know, Ryder will be back, and it will be me he wants to be with. I've been texting him all week, and he said he loves me."

"That's such a lie Jayden, and you know it. So just stop!"

By the look on her face, I know that made her mad. I don't know why, but it just did.

"Why are you so mad? What did I say?" I asked her, holding a smirk back. I know I shouldn't be on the verge to smile, but I can't help it. This is funny.

"I'm not going to stop until you are gone! You don't belong here!" She yelled, turning around and walking out the door again. I put my hand over my mouth, so keep the laugh in.

The bathroom door opened again, which seemed like the millionth time, but this time, it's not a girl. It's Mason.

"Dang she yells loud." He laughed.

"She really does." I laughed along with him.

"What did she say anyways? Wait are you just going to hide in here the rest of the day?"

"More like period. I'll go to my next class since it's the last one of the day. But anyways," I started, "she started saying how Ryder is gone because of m, and apparently he wants to be with her when he gets back, and that he loves her."

Mason snorted.

"Who could love that witch?" I let out a small laugh.

"One day she will find someone to love her the way she wants and needs to be loved. But that's not right now."

"Thanks again." I smiled, waving to Mason outside his truck door.

"Anytime Casey. I'm just glad to be back home." He smiled.

"Just don't leave again. Please. I need you and Ryder."

"We need you too." At that, he drove off, leaving me standing in my driveway. I pulled my book bag up, turned around, and walked to my porch.

I noticed a note taped to the door, so I pulled it off. I unfolded the white, crisp paper, and saw the messy red ink smearing on the page.

Meet me at the cabin after school. I need to talk to you, ASAP!

I unlocked the door, placed my bag down, and called out to my mom I'll be back soon. Once I headed an okay from her, I closed the door again, walking back down my porch.

I began the wall to my destination, which isn't far, but it will still take some time to get there.

I pulled my phone out form my pocket, and dialed up Marshals number.

By the third ring he answered.

"Casey." I headed his voice. But why is he whispering?

"Why are you whispering?" I asked him.

"I can't talk loud. There are people outside walking around and talking. It sounds like a girls voice and a guys. I'm not sure who it is because I don't want to give away the cover of my place. Hopefully they are just tourist tracking through the woods."

"Okay, we both know that is really stupid. Why would a guy and a girl be out in the woods just exploring?"

"Many people like the woods."

"Yes, but not where the cabin is located. I thought no one knew where the cabin was?"

"I thought the same thing-" Marshal was cut off by a knock on the cabin door. I went quite.

The knocking came through the phone again.

"Marshal?" I called through the phone.

I heard a loud crash. What?

"Marshal?" I called to him again. Nothing. I heard people talking, and just like he said, a guy and a girls voice was heard.

"Who are you-" I couldn't hear the rest because it was muffled, but it's probably Marshals voice that got muffled.

"Marshal?" I called out once again, but he didn't talk. Instead it was the girls voice.

"Who is, brunette friend?" I swear i've heard that voice before. But where? A muffled scream came through the speaker of my phone.

"Chloe, let's go." The other guys voice said. But I didn't recognize it.

Wait Chloe?

Chloe.

Chloe, that's where I heard the voice from.

Is she the one who took Ryder and Mason?

Whaaaaat? Is she the person or not? dun dun dun !!!
