Saving Him

Chapter 21

I turned around go see who this Tyler is. My stomach dropped.

"Why hello, Casey." He smirked. "Long time no see huh? How have you been?" He slowly walked up to me, and placed his hand on my cheek.

I shuddered under his touch.

"Tyler." I said through gritted teeth."

"You two know each other?" Beth raised her eye brow at us.

"Why yes. Yes indeed. Casey and I go way back. Before she moved to this place." He said looking around the food court. "We use to have so much fun, and would hang out every day. We loved each other. Until she moved away, she left my heart broken. I sat up in my room all alone, with my mom and dad trying to get me out. But I wouldn't budge until my little Casey came home." He stuck out his bottom lip.

"That's such a lie you idiot!" I screamed. I got the attention of a lot of people.

"No it's not. What ever she told you guys is a lie. I wouldn't do anything to hurt Casey. She's a great person." He smiled at me. But I swear you could see the evil in his eyes.

I looked at Ryder and he just stood there with his mouth open slightly, and just staring at us. I can't tell if he's scared, confused, or both. But I could use the help about know!

"Leave me alone Tyler! Stay away from me! I know why your here!"

"And what's that?"

"You know exactly what I mean Tyler." I said through gritted teeth. "Because I left and you had to stay you wanted to get revenge on me the whole time. Now that our finally out you want to get back at me. And I know that because the note you left."

"What note?" He looked completely confused.

"Don't act dumb. You know what note I'm talking about."

"Actually. I can promise you sweetheart. I don't."

"Don't call me sweetheart!" I glared at him.

I walked away form him, and over to Ryder. He put his arm around me, and I put my arm around his back. Once Tyler noticed he death glared Ryder. He better not touch him.

Mason stood beside me, holding onto my arm. I know these two boys won't let nothing happen to me. Beth stood there looking confused. She looked back and forth between me and Tyler.

"Beth, let's go hang out. Let's leave Casey, and her two boyfriends alone." He smirked, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. They both walked away from Mason, Ryder, and I.

Well. This is the start of what is going to be finished.

"That's Tyler?" Mason asked, letting go of my arm.

"Yeah. That's Tyler." I let out a sigh.

"What is he doing here?" Ryder asked.

"Coming after me obviously. But what I wanna know, if he didn't write that note then who did?" That's that only thing I'm confused with. Or maybe he was just as ting like he didn't know but he really did. I don't understand.

"I'm going to take you home. You probably shouldn't be here. Want a ride Mason?" Ryder asked.

"Sure." Mason agreed.

We walked out to Ryder's car in silent. No one knows what to say, or how to act. I just can't believe Tyler is back.

"I can't believe Tyler is back." Mason said, as if reading my mind.

"I agree. What I want to know is how does he know I live here?"

"That's ones thing we aren't ever going to know." Ryder commented.

The ride home we just listen to the radio. Everyone in their own thoughts. I wonder what Ryder and Mason is thinking of this situation. Did they believe me in the beginning? Or did they think it was fake? Because when they saw Tyler they seemed pretty shocked. Are they scared of what he may to do me? Do they want to keep me safe? All these things are running through my mind, but I don't want to ask them, in case they don't want to talk about it.

Ryder POV:

We are currently in the car on the way home. all I know is I needed to get Casey out of that mall in case Tyler tries to do something. What does he even want? I know Casey said he wants revenge and to kill her, but that's a little harsh. Either that, or what Tyler was saying, was he telling the truth, and Casey only telling me part of it to make Tyler seem like the bad guy? In fact, how does he know that Casey lives here. They have no contact, and they were states separated. None of this makes any sense.

And the whole note thing, did Casey write that to make it seem like Tyler is really after her? She was home by herself before I came over that night. She could have written that note.

I'm going to have to keep my guard up with her and now Tyler. They have a past together. Who knows if they are both plotting to go against  me. Does Casey even truly love me like she says? Or is this a joke to get closer to me so her and Tyler can hurt me. No that's funny. I know she loves me.

Mason's POV:

When I first saw Tyler in the food court he seemed like a nice guy. He wanted to know who Ryder and I were, and even Casey. Even though he knows who Casey is apparently.

When Casey told me everything about Tyler from the past I believed parts of it. Not all. Like her handing him the knife to kill his father, and then going to jail I don't believe. Now that they use to date, and all that, I believe. He does give off a Bad boy rep, and that's Casey type. She's dating Ryder and he's somewhat a bad boy.

I don't know who to trust. Casey, which is my best friend, or Tyler, a new guy that no one really knows. But I do know something, I will protect Casey with. My life even if she isn't telling the truth, or if she is. I will stay by her side and help her. I'm not so sure about Ryder, but I promise to keep this girl safe.
