Month Nine- Year Two

New Mexico is so much better. It's warmer- and it feels just better outside. We are making our way to Texas, and we are very excited. We get a little break from tour. Avi has been MIA all day today, and he has been texting me a lot.

It's our day off, so Mitch and I go shopping, as usual.

"I LOVES IT!" Mitch exclaimed, pointing at a pair of shoes.

"I'm so excited!" I exclaim.

"Why boo?" Mitch questions.

"Just- THIS TOUR IS SO MUCH FUN!!" I cheer.

"Totally boo. Want to get STARBS. I'm getting STARBS. Let's go." Mitch said.

I feel like Mitch is Beyoncé, because he's insane like that. I love him, but he is the most snazziest and sassiest person I have ever met.

We walk in and order, then sit down.

"So how's Avi?" He asks.

"Well. I think he is driving up to California to spend the day with friends." I said.

"Gotcha. Scott and Kevin are who knows where- probably doing something stupid." Mitch laughs.

"Mitch and Kristie!"

"I swear.." I start, but Mitch is already up getting the drinks.

I squeeze my fists together, and let it go slowly.

"Here you go Kristie!"

"Mitch.." I laugh.

"I'm just a teezin!"

"Ok then." I joke, and take a sip of my coffee.

Texas is the easiest place to drive. So flat, not a worry in the world. Only problem, Arlington is so far. I'll make that sacrifice. I pull up to the Maldonado house, and get out, brushing my pants down. I fix my hair,  (AVI DOESNT HAVE A MUN ANYMORE BTW) and smile.

I walk up to the door, and ring to door bell.

"Avi!" Mrs. Maldonado laughs, and says, "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, just stopping by. Is Mr. Maldonado in?" I ask.

Her face brightens.

"He is in his study." She smiles, and takes me to him.

I knock on the door, and I hear a come in.

I open the door, and trip over a pair of golf clubs.

That's what get his attention. He looks up from his papers, and smiles.

"Avi my boy." He sets his hand out, and I shake it.

"How's my Kirstie doing?" He asks.

"She is doing well! Beautiful as ever- and doing great on tour."

"Good, Good. Whatcha need me for?"

I suck in my gut and smile.

"I would like to have Kirstin's hand in marriage if you do so." I ask.

He looks at me for a second.

I feel all this regret come towards me.

His smile is huge now.

"Of course you can Avi. I wouldn't want her to have a guy that's not you. Come here."

I walk over to Mr. Maldonado, and hug him, well he hugs me.

I say my thank yous, then leave.

I drive back to New Mexico with a smile on my face.

I stop by this nice Texas authentic ring shop, and pick up the most gorgeous ring for her.

I'm going to purpose to her when we are in Texas- also the day of our three year anniversary.
