The Same Mistakes {Sequel to Unconditional Love}

Chapter 14

Zayn P.O.V.

I was told to stay seated so that the dotor that was working on my girl would be able to find me. I wondered how she was along with Ashley. I couldn't believe someone would do that to the girls. I had to have hope that Aurora would be okay.

Liam came around the corner trying to catch his breath when I stood up. I went over to help him sit down in the nearest chair. He took deep breaths and held a finger up. I went over to the drink machine and put some spare change I had in my pocket, when the drink machine dropped a bottle of water out. I took over to him. He took and gulped it down half way.

“Thanks.”

“What happened when you went with Niall?” I questioned him.

Liam grimanced then looked at the floor with his hands squeezing the bottle tightly. He then licked his lips then bit them. Was it that bad, of what he was going to tell me? I was starting to think the worse when Liam finally whipered

“They lost the little baby, Zayn. The room it felt weird, like there was something other than Ashley in there. I mean like death was in there. It was really cold.”

“Oh man, are you serious? How's Ashley? Did she make it? Did they even know the gender?” I asked all of those questions in one breath. I was worried now.

Liam didn't get to answer those questions because Aurora's doctor came in and looked over at me.

“Sir Aurora's healing now, the surgery went well but we will have to keep her here for a couple of weeks. Her collar bones were fractured because of how deep the cuts actually went. She also lost a lot of blood.”

“But she'll make it though right?” I asked him, that's the only thing I wanted to hear.

“Yes, sir, she'll make it. Do you want to come with me to see her?”

“Please. Liam you want to come with me?” I told the doctor then looked over at Liam. He nodded and soon we were following the doctor to Aurora's room.

Harry's P.O.V.

I went outside after they called Niall back to Ashley's room. No one was supposed to go with him but all of us did except Zayn. He had to hang back. When we all got to Ashley's room there was a chill in the air. I heard him make the decision to save her and sort of smiled but it was heart breaking to see him looking at her like she was already gone. Soon after he made the decision we were all pushed out of the room because her life line went flat.

I looked at Niall with the dreaded look on his face and new if he lost her, he would loose himself. Me, I would too. Even though I loved her as well I knew I had to learn to let her go.

That's where Megan came in, she was doing a good job of distracting me and it was working. I feel myself liking her more as we spent time together. She went to bathroom and hasn't came out yet. I need to go check on her. Would I get in trouble for going inside the women's bathroom?

I went back inside to find her sitting in a corner near the window looking outside. I went and sat beside her not say anything just sitting beside her. She sniffled and looked at me and laid her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer. Soon we heard Niall yelling and cursing being escorted to the waiting room.

We both looked at one another and went over to see what was going on. Megan and I helped them set Niall down but he had that rage in his eyes again. I looked up to see the guy that stabbed Ashley and Aurora being led out of the hospital. He had bandages over his nose and under his eyes were deep purple almost black looking. He only smiled with some of the dried blood in his teeth still but was smiling.

“You killed my baby and almost the love of my life you bastard.” Niall yelled.

The guy only smiled wider and Niall lunged at him while the other two police officers held him back with his hands behind his back.

“The baby it died?” Megan whispered in shock while tears overflowed her eyes and down her cheeks. I only nodded and took her in my arms and held her while she wept.

“It was a baby boy, my little boy he was taken from me.” Niall said while sitting there still fuming but had tear stains on his cheeks. We were planning on telling everyone tonight what the baby was. She was even going to make it surprise with a cake, with blue frosting and blue frosting in the middle.” Niall's voice cracked at the last part.

“Do-do you know if she can have another baby? Wh-at were you and Ashley going to name the baby?” Megan sputtered out.

“I'm not sure, they didn't tell me. And we were going to name him Declan.” Niall broke down really bad this time and put his hand in his hands while crying. He soon started hiccuping then Megan let go of me. She went over to Niall and took him in her arms and he let her. He was in bad shape. Louis came out of the bathroom shocked and sat beside me. He bit his and said

“Tonight took a turn for the worse. I think were all going to have to a big break from this. Espicially Niall and Ashley. Maybe even Zayn.”

With that said I only nodded and patted Niall's shoulder when I noticed Zayn come out of the elevator with small smile on his face. Aurora must be doing well.

He came over with Liam right behind him and asked Louis what was going on. Louis told him everything that had happened and Zayn's smile turned into a frown and then he started to shed some tears of his own as well as Liam.

“I'm so sorry mate. I'm terribly sorry for your loss.” Zayn said to Niall bending down to pat Niall's leg.

“I got-got to hold him even though he wasn't alive. He was so small and little. His little feet and little hands.” Niall blubbered out.

I looked up just in time to see the doctor come back in and grimanced. “Please tell me she survived. Please. I-I can't loose her too.”

“Niall, she's okay. Um when she fully heals I'll do a test and see if she can concieve another child. I'm terribly sorry for your loss. Um I do hate to do this but I need to know the name of the child.” The doctor told us while sort of getting choked up himself.

“His name would've been Declan Horan.” I'm not sure if she would've given him a middle nam e or not but his first and last name would've been that.” Niall sniffled and told the doctor.

The doctor nodded and then turned around and walked back towards the double doors outside.

A nurse came out and told Niall that he could go see her but he only shook his head.

“I can't, not yet. I have to go home and wash this blood off. I'll come back. I just need-” Niall started to break down again.
