The Same Mistakes {Sequel to Unconditional Love}

Chapter 15

Harry P.O.V.

Within the next couple of weeks went by and we all took a break. Just a two or three month break because with everything that had happened well it took a big tole on us all, espicially Niall. He was trying to wait until Ashley was better to bury their newborn baby but it was getting too long to wait but he wouldn't budge.

He had went home that night after everything went down and I know he sat in the shower at least two or three hours. Me and the lads spent the night at the girls place with him because he told he didn't want to be alone. The house of the girls felt weird without all of them here. Rachel was in bad shape as well, she made Liam leave her beside her best friends bedside for the night. Rachel hadn't stopped crying since she found out that the newborn was dying inside of Ashley.

I'm not sure of what all happens with umbilical cords and pregnancies but somehow when they took the baby out the umbilical cord was interwined with Ashley's life line. Were not sure how but Ashley had to be brought back to life at least three time within the past week.

That night after everything happened he sat in her room on her bed just letting his emotions get the best of him. He did go to sleep for two hours or more but by the next morning he was already gone. When everyone else got up we all got ready to go see the girls and Zayn and Niall. Evidently Zayn had gone with Niall because he was already gone when we all woke up as well.

Megan had met us there because she wanted to go home and change first, she also stayed with us last night. When Megan got to the hospital I met her outside and hugged her then slowly leaned back and took her face between my hands and slowly brought my mouth to hers to give her time to pull away if she wanted too. The kiss has an effect I never thought it would. The warm feeling it brings me shocks me and I smile as I kiss her again.

Zayn P.O.V.

When I woke up I noticed Niall slipping his shoes on and I jumped up telling him to hold on and let me get ready so I can go with him. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair and sighed.

“Hurry please. I need to see her.” He said to me in a pleading tone.

I nodded and headed upstairs and quickly got changed then brushed my teeth. I just put a beanie on and headed downstairs where I noticed Niall was eating a cereal bar then jumped up from the breakfast bar.

“Okay let's go.” Niall said while chewing his food. I just chuckled and followed him out to the car. When we got there we headed in seperate ways but before I let him go see her I grabbed ahold of his shoulder and looked him directly in the eyes and said

“Niall she will make it, she's a survior. Ashley's been through so much but she will make it through this. If you need me I'm here okay?”

He nodded and smiled then gave me a quick man hug then ran off towards Ashley's room. I on the other hand waited for a elevator door to open to head upstairs where Aurora was. When I got up to her room she was up watching TV and laughing but trying not to laugh too hard because it still hurt her chest.

“Zayn!” She yelled my name and smiled so big when she seen me. I was still amazed at how much she effected me. Her eyes sparkled and her smile was so warm. I walked over to her and kissed her forehead. She huffed so I chuckled and pecked her lips. Satisfied she went back to watching TV when I took her hand and just watched her.

I bit my lip when the big question popped in my mind but I wanted it to the right way and not in some hospital room. So I made a mental note to get a ring when I left here. I wasn't going to loose her, I couldn't. Aurora was mine and I needed to let her know.

“You know I love you right?” I told her.

She looked at me and smiled. That smile right there was going to kill me one day. I laughed when she said

“Of course. And I love you as well.”

I lifted her hand and kissed her hand then rubbed my kiss in. For the rest of the time it was a nice silence but we did laugh and talk a little bit.

Niall P.O.V.

I went to Ashley's room to see her when I opened the door to find her sniffling and trying to pry her wrist band off her wrist. Her eyes were all red and puffy as well as her face. I went up to her and took her in my arms. I knew what she was feeling, because I felt the same.

“I-I can't believe I lost him, Niall. I lost the baby.” She whispered.

“I know Angel, I know you did. I'm so sorry. Don't let it get to you babe, okay? We'll have to strong okay?” I told her, I think I said to myself more so than her though.

“Niall how can I be strong enough to get through this? I mean it was our baby. Our baby!” She yelled out then pounded on my chest and started to cry along with her. I was having a hard time with the situation as well.

Soon I heard her slowly breathing in and out in my lap with me swaying back and forth humming. It was all I could do to help both of us. This was going to be hard on both of us. I still wanted her more than I would want anyone in this world. I knew we were both going to have a hard time getting through this, but the way I thought about it, if we had one another then what could go wrong?

I slowly laid her down but that was a bad move because she started to whimper.

“No! No! No! Please!” She whimpered out so I held her close once more only to have Ashley my Angel start crying in her sleep. For me to see this was breaking my heart. I hated seeing her like this.

After 10 minutes of wiping her tears away and trying not to wake her up I pried her little fists off my shirt so I could make a call.

After I made my call I went back to see Ashley slowly waking up looking at me with tears streaming down her face. I went over and took her in my lap again then slowly made her look up at me.

“Smile please. I need you to smile for me.” Ashley smiled but it was forced I could see, but she was trying for me.

“I have an surprise for you when we leave here. I can't tell you what it is because I want it to be an surprise for us. I want us to get through this together so were all taking time off.”

She tempted to smile but I could still, it was going to a while before we both fully recovered from this. She kissed my cheek then pressed the button for the nurse.

“What's wrong, love?”

“Nothing, I have to go to the bathroom.”

“Oh.” I half smiled then kissed her forehead. I wrapped her up in my arms and couldn't wait to tell her my surprise for us. Soon after the nurse left the doctor came in and smiled at both of us.

“Hi, Ashley. How are you feeling today?”

“I'm alright, my stomach still sore but I'm okay. I'm dealing with, with it.”

“When can I see my my-”

“He's down in the nursery-”

“Wait, I'm confused do what? You mean our baby is alive?”

Anywho the next chapter will be the very last chapter of the series. I hope you guys liked this and I'm glad I wrote this. But I can't wait for the next chapter because a lot of things happen. I have it all planned out. Also it will be up..............tonight as well!!
