Accident Part 1 - Car Accident {Tony Bucky & Clint}

A/N: These are going to be long probably, so I'm going to split them up into 3 parts. Also, it's you in the car accident because I know how they would react or can make up how they would react, but with you I don't know you. I tried not to be too graphic but Clint's was inevitable. And normally I'm going off the movies but I love the idea of a deaf superhero, so I'm adding in Clint's 80% hearing loss from the comics.

Tony: "Sir, I'm afraid there's been an accident," JARVIS says. Tony's heart stopped momentarily.

"Is it (Y/N)?" Tony wants to know. JARVIS doesn't respond. "JARVIS?"

"Yes," JARVIS finally answers. Tony's heart sinks.

"Is she..." he asks. He can't bring himself to finish that last sentence.

"No, but I'm afraid she's badly injured," the AI tells him. Tony drops the hand of his Iron Man suit and grabs his coat.

"What hospital?" he asks.

When he arrives at the hospital, he goes to the desk. "Where is (Y/N) (Y/L/N)? Is she okay?"

"Please have a se-" the nurse says then looks up. "Mr. Stark, I'll go check right now."

The nurse disappears and Tony waits impatiently, full of panic. He paces while waiting for her to come back.

"Mr. Stark, she's in surgery right now," she says.

"I need to see her," Tony tells her, raking his fingers through his hair.

"I know, and I'll update you with what I know. Why don't you have a seat? Call someone to wait with you if you need to?" the nurse tells him. He nods and goes to the chairs and takes a seat. He pulls out his phone and scrolls through his contact list. James and Nat are on a mission, Bruce has gone off the grid again, Thor is in Asgard and Clint took his family camping. That leaves Steve.

"Stark, what's up?" Steve says.

"It's (Y/N)," Tony tells him.

"Is she okay? What happened?" Steve asks.

"Accident. JARVIS didn't give details. She's in the surgery and I don't want to wait alone... Would you mind coming down?"

"I'm on my way," Steve says and hangs up after getting directions to the hospital.

Steve arrives shortly and they wait together, Tony pacing and Steve sitting. Tony finally sits down when the nurse comes back and says, "The surgery went well, Mr. Stark. (Y/N) is waking up now. You can see her in a couple of minutes."

A couple of minutes turns into a couple of hours. When the nurse comes to get him, he's a nervous wreck. On the way to your room, while she tries to explain something, he keeps interrupting her, threatening her with lawsuits and everything else under the sun until he arrives at your room. The moment he sees you, he shuts up.

You're lying in bed, crying with your hand over your face. But that's not what he's focusing on, it's your legs. The blanket is pulled back revealing a cut up and bruised leg and the stump of another.

His heart drops as he takes it in. "Oh, baby girl," he says and you look at him.

"Tony!" you say. He comes to your bedside and you wrap your arms around him as he sits on the edge of your bed. He slips his arms around your waist and presses his lips to your forehead. After holding you for a few minutes, he gets up and covers your legs so you can't see them.

"It's so weird," you say as he sits again. "It hurts like it's there, but then I look and it's not."

"Phantom pain. I know, baby," he says. He pulls you into his arms and rubs your back, mumbling into your hair, "We'll get through this."
