Astrid's POV

The plan was simple enough. Go to Outcast Island, find where they are holding Hiccup, sneak in, and bring him home. The Outcast aren't very smart so it shouldn't be to hard.

It was now the next morning and we were packing up stuff we might need on the rescue mission. I walked over to Ruff to talk to her. I've been meaning to tell her about my discussion with Tuffnut the other day.

"Hey Ruff? Can we talk for a sec?" I asked.

"Um sure. What about?" She gave a real curious look.

"Lets go to my house. That way no one else hears and it'll be quiet there."

"Okay." She agrees. We walk down the path to my house. When we arrive we go in and sit at the table.

"So what did you want to talk about?"

"Um well its about Tuffnut. See, I talked to him a few days ago and..." I was stopped mid sentence when I felt a wave of nausea over take me.

"Astrid, are you okay?" Ruffnut ask, standing up and coming around the table by me.

I nodded my head saying yes, but then hurried to the bathroom. Ruffnut came in behind me and held my hair back. When I finished, I stood up and faced her.

"I'm fine. Just a little sick, no big deal." I walked back to the kitchen and sat back down at the table. Ruffnut came back and sat across from me.

"Anyway, like I was saying, Tuffnut feels really alone since you and Snotlout became a thing. You should really spend some time with him."

"Yeah I know I should. What we really need to do is find him a girl so I don't have to spend time with him."

"Ruff this is serious. Don't you want... Oh hang on a second..." I ran back to the bathroom to throw up again. This is really getting weird. I never get sick and I don't really feel sickly.

"Astrid are you sure you're okay. Thats the second time you've thrown up and within 1o minutes of each other."

"Ruff, I honestly don't know whats wrong. I never get sick. You know as well as anyone that I'm the healthiest person on Berk." Ruffnut looked at me and thought for a second before her eyes grew big. Then I realized exactly what she had.

"You don't honestly think I'm..."

"I do Astrid! Its the only thing that makes since!"

"Okay well lets not jump to conclusions just yet. I've only felt like this for two days. Maybe I am just sick."

"We need to go talk to Gothi. And soon."

"Okay I'll talk to her when we get back. First I need to save my husband."

"Okay. As long as I get to come with you." She says, shaking a finger in my face.

"Okay you can go with me." I promise. "Now come on it's time to save Hiccup."

---Time skip to Outcast Island---
We landed on the shores of Outcast Island. I slipped off of Stormfly and walked over lots of rock formations with the gang behind me.

"Shh. Do you hear that?" I asked the gang, who were arguing about something.

"No, what are we suppose to hear?" Tuffnut ask.

"Just shut up and listen!" I whisper yelled.

I heard a loud crack and then screaming. Somehow I just knew it was Hiccup. And there is only one thing that makes that awful cracking sound... A whip. I stopped dead in my tracks. It sounded like the noise was coming from just over this last rock formation. I start to climb it but Fishlegs grabs my arm and stops me.

"You might not like what you see when you get over." He says, pulling me back down.

"So what do we do? Just let it happen?... Change of plans! We attack now. Everyone mount your dragons!" They do as told and I mount Stormfly. We take to the skies and start attacking the Outcast.

Hiccup was tied to a tree. His back was covered in blood and whip marks. The twins blew a ring of fire around him so none of the Outcast could get to him. I landed inside the ring. I jumped off of Stormfly and rushed over to Hiccup. He was slumped over and looked unconscious. I took my knife out of my boot and cut the ropes around his wrist. He fell to the ground. I couldn't pick him up so I half dragged, half carried him. Stormfly helped me get him on her back. We flew out of the ring of fire.

"Okay guys! I got him lets go!" I yelled to the gang. They all follow me as I flew towards Berk.

I turned around in the saddle and let Stormfly fly on her own since she knows the way back. I laid Hiccups head on my lap and stroked his hair.

"Its going to be alright Hiccup. You're on your way home." I whispered. His eyelids flickered and he then opened them. His amazing green eyes stared into mine.

"A-Astrid?" He manages to mumble.

"Yes Hiccup, its me. You're safe now." I said. He lifted a hand and placed it on my cheek.

"Thank you... Milady." He says before passing out again.

We land on Berk and I rushed Hiccup to Gothi's. She examined him, and finally put some weird liquid on his back. Almost instantly his wounds started to heal. She drew some symbols in the dirt and Gobber read them off.

"She says he should wake up in about 15 minutes. You can take him back to the house to rest." Gobber translated.

I took Hiccup home after I thanked Gobber and Gothi. I laid him in bed and curled up beside him. Going to Gothi's reminds me that I need to visit her still. I guess I'll do that later today, right now all I want to do is rest.
