Astrid's POV

Its been an hour since Hiccup got treatment from Gothi and I'm getting worried. She said he should wake up in 15 minutes... Its been a whole hour! He should have woke up a long time ago.

Gothi walked in the house and up to the bedroom to check Hiccup out. Gobber came with her, of course, to translate. She looked Hiccup up and down and then placed three fingers over his heart. She turned to Gobber and wrote some symbols in the dirt that she poured on the floor.

"You're sure Gothi?" Gobber asked, his voice cracking a bit.

"What! What did she say!?" I screeched. Gothi drew more symbols in the dirt. Gobber read them and a tear slowly ran down his cheek.

"What did she say Gobber! Tell me!" I yelled, tears streaming down my own face.

"Astrid... She... She said that he was poisoned too... Im so sorry Astrid."

I fell to my knees, covering my eyes with my hands. This cant be happening! Not to him! I need him! I cant live without him!

I then heard Gothi scribble in the dirt again. And Gobber let out a sigh of relief.

"She says there is an antidote. Its in her house on the shelf. You must hurry and get it. He doesn't have much time." When those words left Gobber's mouth a spark of hope leapt into me.

I jumped up and ran out of the house. I ran while I whistled to Stormfly and she swopped down. I jumped on her back and flew to Gothi's house.

When I landed, I burst through the door. I dashed over to her medicine shelf and searched through all her medicine. She had so many different ones, but luckily they were all labeled. I came across one that said 'Antidote for Poisons Substances' I grabbed it and rushed back to the house.

I bolted through the door and handed the antidote to Gothi. She poured it down his throat. I sat down on the chair in the corner of the room so I could catch my breath. Gothi started scribbling again.

"She says he should wake up in about 2 days. The medicine has some strong affects to it." Gobber translates. They walk out of the house, leaving me with Hiccup.

"Just hang in there Hiccup. I need you." I whispered. A song popped in my head while I sat there and watched him. I got up and sat beside him on the bed. I took his hand and let out a long slow breath.

"You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When It gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in

Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through."

Tears slowly filled my eyes. This song just means so much right now. I want him to just hold on.

"So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's to late, this could all disappear
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side, I will fight and defend."

I stopped singing when I heard someone walk in the door. I turned around to see Ruffnut in the door way. She walked over and put an arm around my shoulders. She started to sing to me.

"Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it come to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through."

When she finished she pulled me into a hug. I was so worried about Hiccup that I didn't care to think about myself. I need to stay strong and I needed to keep holding on too.

"Astrid, I'm here for you if you need anyone. I'm your best friend. You aren't going to lose me. Please just keep holding on." She says to me. She releases me from her hug.

"I will Ruff and thank you. I really needed to hear that."

"Your welcome. So have you talked to Gothi yet?" She ask, looking me in the eyes.

"No, I haven't. Will you go with me in the morning?"

"You bet I will." She stands up and heads for the door.

"Thank you again Ruff. For everything. I'm really glad to have you as a friend." I thanked. She smiled and walked out then door. Once again I was left alone with Hiccup.

"Please come back to me." I whispered.
