Astrid's POV

"So, baby names. You start, what do you have in mind?" I asked Hiccup. We were sitting in the kitchen eating our lunch. We haven't talked about names yet and I'm half way through my pregnancy.

"Um well I like Aaron for a boy and Mia for a girl. What about you?" He asked, shoveling more food in his mouth.

"I like Sawyer for a boy and Abbey for a girl." I replied.

"Hm well I think if its a girl we should go with Abbey. It does mean intelligent and beautiful." Hiccup says, waving his fork at me.

"And if its a boy we should go with Aaron. It means mountain of strength." I said.

"Okay then its settled. If its a boy we'll name him Aaron and if its a girl we'll name her Abbey." Hiccup says, leaning across the table and kissing my forehead. I smile at him and pull him into a deep kiss.

"Hey whoa, guys really? Doing that right there, lead to greater things later on that caused that." Snotlout pointed at my stomach. I guess he must have barged in and we didn't hear him.

"Ever heard of knocking Snotlout?" I asked, a little irritated.

"What do you want?" Hiccup followed up my question.

"Well 'chief' and 'chieftess' there is a problem at the docks that needs to be dealt with. Now I know Astrid can't  really do anything given her condition, but Hiccup they need you."

"I can do just as much as you can. This is not going to stop anything." I gestured to my stomach.

"Keep telling yourself that. Anyway are you coming?" Snotlout ask, leaving the house.

"Okay I'll go check it out. I'm sure its nothing. You stay here and finish your lunch. I'll be right back." Hiccup says, kissing my forehead and leaving.

Well this is great, home alone again. I shoveled the last bit of my lunch in my mouth and cleaned the dishes. I wasn't feeling very well so I decided I would go lay down for a little bit.

I slowly climbed the stairs and flopped in bed. I was so exhausted and just wanted to sleep knowing well enough that probably wouldn't happen. I laid on my back and rubbed my swollen stomach.

"You're really wearing me out kid." I whispered. Well great now I'm talking to something that can't even reply.

"This is so stupid." I mumbled.

"Um... Hey there kid.. Could you please stop kicking me. Its really hurting and I want to sleep." I shifted my body to lay on my side. I feel so stupid. But then again its kind of comforting. Oh what am I saying, this is silly. I slowly started to drift off to sleep when someone came in the door.

"Oh sorry milady. Didn't mean to wake you." Hiccup slowly closed the door and climbed into bed with me.

"So what was the problem at the docks?" I ask, scooting closer to him. He wraps an arm around me and I lay my head on his chest.

"Oh it was nothing. Just a Scauldron trying to tip over Bucket and Mulch's boat." He chuckles. "It was quite a sight."

"Oh I bet it was." I chuckled too.

"What are you planing on doing today?" He ask.

"Oh I don't know. Probably this right here. I'm pretty exhausted." I said, looking up at him.

"Okay well sleep tight milady. I'll be back when I'm done with chiefing." He stood up and kissed my forehead before walking out of the house. I soon drifted off to sleep in the quietness of the empty house.

---Next Day--- (Still Astrid's POV)
I was walking down the path in the woods. I was heading for the cove. Its so peaceful there and I feel so safe. Its like my second home. When I finally reached it, Stormfly squawked really loud and nudged me.

"Whats wrong girl? Is everything okay?" I ask, rubbing her nose. She looked around nervously, taking cautious steps. I looked around too, but didn't see anything out of the usual.

"It's okay Stormfly. Nothings here." I turned towards the trees and started throwing my axe. After about the third throw, I heard something rustle in the bushes. I went to retrieve my axe I had thrown, but someone stepped in front of me.

I looked up to see a very tall man. He stood way taller than me and it almost hurt my neck to look up at him. He had short blonde hair with a bandana wrapped around his head and he had a scruffy beard. He was very muscular and that scared me a bit. When I looked at his face, I noticed he had a long scar on his cheek. He smiled a very toothy smile and sauntered over to me. I backed up as far as I could, but hit my back against the wall. I was trapped.

"No need to be afraid Astrid." The man said.

"How do you know my name? And who are you?"

"Ah yes. Who am I? Well I am going to be your biggest fear. And I know who you are,  Astrid Haddock, because you are the chief's wife...Now we can do things the simple way or the hard way." He says, moving closer to me.

"What do you want?" I ask. He stepped closer to me and leaned down, his face in mine.

"I want Berk, the dragons, and the people. And what better way to get it than with the chief's nocked up wife... See, if I take you, either willingly or forcefully, then Hiccup will have a choice, Berk or his wife. Now I think we all know what he'll pick... So are you going to make things easy or hard?" He stepped back away from me.

"I never go down without a fight." I stated, pulling my dagger out of my boot. He stepped closer to me and I thrusted forward with my dagger, but he caught my arm and placed a cloth over my mouth and nose. Next thing I knew it was pitch black.
