"Owww!" Jamie said rubbing her head. She had just woken up and an eery sense of deja vu had overcome her. It felt like the first day she came here, waking up in an unfamiliar place with an ear-splitting headache. Familiar questions swarmed her mind, how did I get here? what happened?

She stood up and looked at her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was the gaping hole in the ceiling of the...whatever room she was in. "Ugh" she groaned as she remembered the events that occured to create such a hole. They were so close to going home, so close to seeing their family and friends. Of course, fate decided that the vent was going to collapse and instead leave them stuck in the stupid game. Tears came to Jamie's eyes as the reality hit her.

She tore her eyes away from the hole while another thought came to her mind. Where the heck were Jeremy and Tiffany? Her heart dropped to her stomach when she turned in a circle and couldn't find them, but what she did find astonished her.

"A toilet?" she mumbled to herself. She almost wanted to laugh, and with what's been going on in her life she definitely could use a good chuckle.

When she turned back around she found that what she thought was a wall was really a door to a stall. Really? She thought to herself. Why would they need bathrooms if they can't even take off these metal suits? Come to think of it, how come she hasn't needed to go to the bathroom in two weeks?

As these thoughts were circulating around her mind a noise brought Jamie back.

Creak.....

On impulse jamie thrust herself atop the toilet and brought her feet up so that she was hugging her knees. There was nothing else she could do so she just closed her eyes and prayed.

Jamie forced herself to count to one thousand before opening her eyes and when she did she held back a scream when she found herself looking into another pair of eyes in the crack of the stall door. This sense of fear was followed by relief once she realized that those eyes were ones she knew. Jeremy. Immediately she opened the door and jumped into his arms thankful knowing that he was okay. But, there was still the matter of Tiffany.

After a couple of seconds they broke away and Jamie looked into Jeremy's eyes. Her stomach dropped  when his eyes revealed a look of fear and sadness. He ever so gently knudged his head to the left where Jamie turned hers. The sight brought tears to her eyes when she saw little Tiffany being grasped by a seeker with a knife held above her throat. The eyes of the man showed hatred, and maybe even boredom.

"No!" Jamie gasped and lunged foreward to have Jeremy hold her back.

"Jamie!" he whispered harshly. She was taken aback surprised at how serious his tone of voice became. "We can't touch her. If we try to save her she dies. Do you understand?" Jamie nodded in agreement as tears streamed down her face. She hadn't realized she'd cared so much about Tiffany until now, the moment she thought she'd lose her.

"Fine," she said turning to the seeker speaking to him. "But, if you hurt her one bit I swear that I will do the same to you," with that she turned back to Jeremy, a million questions swarming her mind, but she didn't ask them. Instead she sobbed, and sobbed, and sobbed into his chest.

"Shut up!" proclaimed the seeker still holding on to Tiffany. Wait a minute, was she unconscious? Jamie turned away from Jeremy and cautiously stepped up to the seeker.

"Don't you dare tell me what to do," she muttered just loud enough for him to hear.

"Talk to me like that again and I'll bring you to the degeneration room right now!" he yelled causing Jamie to wince. She didn't know what possesed her to do so, but she then decided to ask,

"Why don't you degenerate me right now?"

Oh no, what had she done?

"Well, little missy, my buddy here says he would like to bring you down himself, and since he's a merciful fellow he wanted to give you one more day." he spat.

Jamie, couldn't believe it. Jeremy. A seeker? No, it couldn't be. She turned to look at him and saw that his suit was indeed different from hers. It was big like hers, but instead of grey, a black fabric ran over it, a tear was on it probably from the fall from the vent.

"Jeremy, how could you!" She stepped away from him.

"Jamie, I can explain why!" he shouted back at her. Explain what? Explain how he could accept a job such as this? She'd heard that being a seeker payed well, think millions, but she never thought he would be so low as to actually follow through a job such as this.

"Don't even try!" she exclaimed as she ran back into a stall and slammed the door. With that she sat down on the floor and cried.

Plot twist!!! Dun Dun Dun!!! What do you guys think and please don't hate me for Jeremy! I'm really excited for where this story is going and am very excited for reaching over 100 reads! Yay! I know it's a small amount compared to people with thousands of reads, but I'm still pretty excited. This chapter took me forever to write. Do you know how difficult it is to watch t.v. and type at the same time?!? Oh well, I'll try updating the next chapter soon! Happy reading!
