"So a colonel and a blonde walk into a bar." I threw my med kit onto the desk in the middle of the room. Maggie and Weaver were still getting themselves together after an explosion that had happened in what I had dubbed the 'War Room'. If they had gone in two seconds before, they would have had a lot more damage done than a few cuts and scrapes.

"Oh, come on, Cass, I've heard that one before." Maggie said dryly.

"Sit, dear patients." I pushed out two chairs. Army personnel had flooded the room to find out what had happened. Anthony was pouring over what seemed to be the source of the explosion.

"Take Maggie first." Weaver said, seeing her touching at her neck.

She had only superficial cuts on her neck and chest from where she wasn't covered by her clothes, which I cleaned obviously. "Good chance this leather jacket saved you a lot of cuts." I told her, plucking a shard of glass from her hair. "As did the blonde mane." I stood behind her and placed my fingers at her neck. "Tilt right...and left. Probably whiplash."

"Of course. From my recent car accident." She raised her eyebrows and massaged her neck when I moved away.

"No. From the impact of a bomb that threw you to the ground." I narrowed my eyes at her before turning to Weaver. I could see even from where I was that he had glass embedded in his skin. I reached for gloves and tweezers. "I gotta get the glass out of your neck before it goes in even deeper."

"Go ahead." Weaver tilted his head, allowing me to get into his neck. I glass shards were small enough that they didn't go in too deep, yet big enough I could still grasp them with the tweezers.

"Looks like whoever did this wanted the radio fried. And they definitely got what they wanted." Anthony held up the frazzled, burnt to the crisp remains of the radio.

"You got that right Anthony. Someone does not want us calling out." Weaver grunted as I wedged the last piece of glass out of him. "How is it, Doc?"

"Fine. No excessive bleeding, Colonol." I wiped at the wounds with cleanser. "I'm going to stick this bandage on the biggest one. The rest of the wounds will clot up on their own."

I started cleaning up the bloodied tissues when Maggie stood up. "Better get back on the line." She was being moody, a little frustrated and pissed.

"Maggie. You hadn't have stopped me, I would've been in here when the radio blew." Weaver gave Maggi a serious look.

In response she stared back at him. "Put me on the first team, colonel."

"Done." He turned to me. "I suppose you want on just as much as she does."

Maggie grinned over at me. "Yeah, you coming?"

She was talking about a deployment which most likely would lead to Karen, and most importantly, killing Karen. Maggie and I were at our best when we fought in the same group. We knew each other so well by that it made it easy for us to have each other's backs. We depended on each other even more so since the Mason's were gone.

And I wanted to go, I did. But I had responsibilities at the same time. "You let me know when you're heading out and I'll try to be there." I zipped up the medical bag and slung it over my shoulder. "The hospital is crazy right now. Lourdes is always busy, I don't know what she's doing but it means I'm on all the time. We're overrun. I gotta put the hospital ahead of my...stringent plans for revenge on the bitch for a, kissing my boyfriend, b, shocking the bejeezus out of me, c, sticking her hand in my leg wound, d, poisoning my good friend Hal and e, all the rest of the psycho crazy she's pulled on the human race."
