"Why haven't you been talking to us Lucian?! I've been worried since!" My mom screeched. Dad was shaking his head at her and I was laughing.

"I'm really sorry mom. I've been busy." I semi-lied. I couldn't tell her about those two vamps. She would make me move away from Abby.

"Busy with what?" She demanded.

"My mate. Her names-"

"YOU HAVE A MATE?!?!?! WHO IS SHE?! HOW DOES SHE LOOK?!?!" My mom yelled. More like screeched. It made me want to cover my ears.

"Calm down babe. You're going to scream his head off." Dad laughed.

"OMG! ok. Ho così tanto da fare ! Dobbiamo avere un matrimonio e aspettare ! Ho bisogno di incontrarla!"

"Woah woah mom. There's no wedding. I just met her." I laughed. My mom was so bubbly.

"Yeah you're right. But I'm still coming to London. I gotta go pack!" She ran away before I can protest.

"Dad you can't come here. They're here." I whispered.

"They? They who?"

"The ones who attacked me. They're here in London. They attacked again."

"Lucian why didn't you tell us? This is serious.

"I know dad. I know. I'm really sorry. But I thought that if I told you, I would have to leave Abby."

"You have to leave her! They know where you are!" He yelled.

"Dad you don't get it. If they found me here then they can find me anywhere." I can't run anymore. I'm tired of running. They'll just find me again.

"In that case.. We're coming to London. I promise we'll be there soon." Dad logged off after that. I closed my laptop and sighed.

"Knock knock." A soft voice said.

"Hey Abs." I said with a small smile.

"Was that your dad?" She laughed a little.

"Yeah. He's really protective." I mumbled.

"I think I can help you." She said while handing me a book.

"What's this?"

"A book of who you're dealing with." I laughed a little.

"They got their own book?" She laughed.

"In a way. Their names are Zaphara and Zephyr. They work for the princess of vampires. It says that at some point, the princess has to choose a suitor, so that she can become queen. I think she has chosen you." I didn't miss the jealousy that she was trying to mask.

"So she can start the new generation of hybrids." I mumbled.

"What?"

"That's why she wants me. She wants to generate a new brand of hybrids. Ones that are powerful and can't be stop. Dad was right." I finished.

"So what are we gonna do?"

"We," I motioned between us "are gonna do nothing. I am going to handle this with the help of my father. You are not putting yourself in danger."

"Lucian I can help! I'm not gonna sit here and wait for you to die!" She yelled.

"I can't risk you getting hurt! I just met you, I'm not about to lose you! I lo-" I stopped.

"Say it." She demanded. I closed the gap between us.

"I love you."
