"Hannah, how was it?!" Natalie squealed. I gave her a smile as I looked at her after shutting the door. "What happened to your hair?" Se added shocked.
"Fine. Spilt my milkshake." I shrugged playing with the marker in my hands.
Her excitement seemed to disappear as her smile fell.
"What happened?" She asked. I shook my head to indicate nothing bad as I shrugged.
"Did he hurt you?" I looked at the hall as an angry Lyle walked from it.
"Who? Da - Damien? No... He didn't..." I shook my head giving Lyle a tight smile.
"Then what happened? Why do you sound so down?" He asked.
"I-I'm just tired..." I mumbled. "So... Uhm... I'll just shower and sleep... Goodnight." I added.
I tried to walk by Lyle to go to my room but he caught my arm gently.
"Nah, what did he do, Hannah?" He asked seriously.
I gave a laugh and his seriousness turned into confusion. "Nothing, Lyle. I'm just tired. It was fun. We went snowboarding, we had lunch, took a walk and he bought me milkshake..." I gave a laugh as I thought about the milkshake before my smile fell as I remembered what happened afterwards. I put a smile back on my face as I looked at my brother again. "It was... It was fun. Really." I said. It had been a lot of fun.
He stared at me for a few seconds before he let my arm go. I quickly walked by him but stopped as he spoke again.
"How did you managed to spill milkshake in your hair?" He asked staring at me weirdly.
"No idea," I replied before I went into my room.
I bit my lip as I sat down on the carpet in the corner of my room. I didn't really know what I was feeling. It was a mixture of butterflies in my stomach, which was currently being overwhelmed by a tight feeling in my chest that was making me feel like I couldn't breathe. The knot growing in my throat wasn't helping.
I bit my lip as I pushed my hair from my face.
Why would he kiss me?
I stood up and looked at my reflection across the room. I let my eyes run over my face remembering what it looked like without the makeup and bit my lip looking down, letting my hair fall back over my face. I lifted my hands to cover my face while shutting my eyes tightly.
Why did I let him kiss me?
I had been so happy about it in the few seconds after it happened when my heart was racing like crazy and I could still taste his strawberry milkshake on my lips and then that happy high just crashed so hard. I let out a breath as I felt my eyes burn with tears.
