My Heart Is Still Fighting
You try to break me,
And you try to put me down.
I say I don't care,
And "ignore" your mean prayers.
You think it doesn't bother me,
That I'm just fine.
But deep inside I'm crying,
Trying not to fall down.
I'm their for my friends,
To solve the problems they have.
But I don't let them know,
The problems I have.
They think my life is good,
For I always have a smile.
Just so they don't know,
The problems I have inside.
They think I have no regrets,
When that's all that fills my soul.
They think I can't be hurt,
When I want to be done with and die.
I act like I'm strong,
Like I can't be broken.
But I broke, long ago,
Though no one knows.
This isn't fake,
It's all real.
I'm not asking for sympathy,
Just so that you know I need to be healed.
And I just wanna say,
That no matter what you do.
My heart will always be pumping,
My heart is still fighting.
