“Something inside this heart has died.”

Sasori stared down at the body of [Name], her once [color] skin now paler than normal. He could only assume that it was cold, since he had yet to bend down and touch her with his hand. His brown eyes stared down at her body as his partner, Deidara, approached him from the side.

“It’s a shame, hmm.  She was actually a good member,” he stated drily, wondering if Sasori was thinking of making her into a puppet as well. The red heads silence made Deidara grow impatient with curiosity and the blond eventually turned to him. “So are you going to make her into a puppet my man?”

Sasori shook his head promptly, turning around and heading towards the giant clay bird that Deidara had created to carry them back to the Akatsuki’s headquarters.

“No. I lost interest in making her a puppet a long time ago,” Sasori explained, sealing himself away inside Hiruko before ambling his way up the bird’s wing. Deidara took one last look at the young girl lying dead on the ground, her [color] skin covered in her own blood and her once bright [color] eyes now dull and lifeless, before he also joined Sasori on his bird, setting off towards headquarters.

Sasori’s mind was not on the flight, however. It was on [Name]. He preferred eternal art, eternal beauty, over all else. He preferred for [Name] to stay alive, with her blood pumping through her veins, instead of her body wooden and controlled by his chakra strings. At least this way, Sasori would be able to remember her as a living being and not as a slave to his power.
