»Kendall's POV«
I'm curled up drinking coffee and watching a cheesy Christmas movie with Addison. She's turning seven on December 18th, which is about a week from now.We have the huge Christmas tree set up by the flat screen on the wall. We set up a small, white Christmas tree in Addison's room, with her birthday presents underneath.
All of sudden, Addison gets up from the recliner and runs upstairs. I follow her, of course.
I walk into her room to see her with a birthday present, about to open, when she sees me.
"Please?" She says, looking at me with big eyes.
I sigh, and look at the thin box. I had gotten her an iPad mini. I know, those were popular back in like,2014, and are considered 'old' now, but I thought she was too young for an iPhone. She always whines about how her best friend,Kathryn, has an iPhone 7.
Last time Kathy came over, she was complaining about how her parents wouldn't buy her the iPhone 8+, that just recently came out. Her parents have quite a lot of money, as do I. Kathy is really a polite kid, but she does act spoiled sometimes.
After deciding wether or not to let her open the iPad, I tell her my answer.
"I suppose...but only one."
She rips into the wrapping paper, and reveals the iPad box. She looks confused.
"What is it?" She asks.
"It's called an iPad mini. They were popular when I was a kid."
"Blah blah blah, I don't care what happened when you were a kid. I wanna know what it does."
"You can play games on it, and text some people, if you have wifi."
"Do we have wifi?"
"Yes."
She still looks confused.
"It's like a giant iPhone."
She squeals in delight. She opens the box, and the iPad nearly falls out.
"You have to be really careful. When your on the hardwood floor it could crack."
"Ok,ok." She runs down stairs, and turns it on. I set it up for her, and connected it to the wifi.
"What's Kathy's number, I need to text her and ask if she can come over."
I look at her, and she says, "if it's ok with you."
I pick up my phone, and find Kathy's number. Addison usually texts her on my phone.
She types in the number, and texts her.
>>Kathy
>>AddisonHi. It's Addison. Do u want 2 come over
Hi! Your mom finally let you get a phone? And I'll ask in a second.I kind of smiled at the fact that Addison didn't spell out the words 'you' and 'to'. It was my biggest pet peeve as a kid. As for Kathy, she was the smartest in the entire second grade, and spelled out all the words and used correct punctuation.
"Mom, I trying to text someone."
I laugh a little, and turn my attention to my buzzing phone.
Your fame can't help you this time

Hi! I'm trying to update more often. I only have two more chapters like this to go, and that's Chloe and Paige's.
