5- Warning

- - - - - -

Today was pretty crappy so far.

I get to school this morning and go to the main entrance to meet Sakura and Ino, but it turns out that they were going to be about fifteen minutes late. I was pretty much alone there, since I had no one to talk to. It sucked. Even Sasuke wasn't going to be here for another five to ten minutes, which kinda makes things worse for me. I didn't like waiting outside of the school alone. I mean, what if the teachers came? It would be pretty awkward for me to be seen standing alone. Ah, well. At least my cellphone was with me and fully charged.

I waited by the doors while I looked down at my cellphone. I was scrolling through some pictures, since that's the only other thing I could do. I wasn't really up for listening to music at the moment. I waited and waited for five minutes until I heard footsteps.

I looked up, half expecting the sound to be coming from Sasuke, and half expecting it would just be another teacher. It definitely wouldn't be Kakashi-sensei, though. But when I looked up, I see the two new students walking together toward the entrance.

That's right. Suigetsu and Karin.

It looked as if they were fighting about something. From what I'm hearing from Karin, the fight was pointless. Karin was raging at Suigetsu about him saying she would die alone because of her attitude.

Wait a minute... attitude? So this girl has attitude problems!

"Oh, would you look at that!" A masculine voice shouted out, cutting my thoughts off. "It's the girl that sat in the back with the pinkie... um... what was her name?"

"Don't ask me," Karin retorted.

In a matter of seconds, they stood directly in front of me. I avoided their gazes, looking around at anything that seemed interesting as of right now. I held the right strap of my bag with my right hand, letting the bag droop slightly. I could feel Karin's gaze on me, though. It felt like something else, to be honest...

Suigetsu dropped his arm, having an irritated look on his face. "I give up. Hey, what's your name?"

"Sayuri." I responded.

"Nice," his eyebrows rose as he nodded. He crossed his arms, looking from me to Karin. "There. You got her name. Ya happy now?"

Karin didn't say anything. She just proceeded on giving me her little stare. She looked as if she were mad at me. I could guess the reason why she was glaring at me in a heartbeat. Maybe that's why she was yelling at Suigetsu a minute earlier. She was probably telling him to ask me what my name was, resorted into yelling at him when he denied to, and that's where the attitude fight came in.

"Why'd you need my name anyway?" I looked at Suigetsu. I really wanted to ask Karin that question, but I felt the need to look away from her so she wouldn't get any angrier.

As for Suigetsu, he uncrossed his arms shrugged. "Just 'cause I recognized you from yesterday. Nothing big."

And finally, Karin decided to speak up. She crosses her arms and squints her eyes a little. "So, Sayuri, you're the girl Sasuke's dating?"

The tone of her voice was of pure annoyance. Are you serious? It's like Karin has a problem about the truth. My nostrils flared when I heard her scoff. She was looking at me in disgust. 'This girl's being such a bi--' I stopped my thoughts from going any further. I don't bother making eye contact with her. Instead, I rolled my eyes, looking away from the two.

"And so what if I am? It's not like it's any of your business."

"Whoa there," Suigetsu held his hands up as if he were trying to stop me and Karin from getting any closer to each other, though his hands didn't really move toward us at all. "Too early for fights, isn't it?"

"I was just answering her question, Suigetsu," I retorted.

Karin takes a step forward, making me snap my head back to face her. Her face showed no emotion, but I could still see the flames in her eyes. "You just wait and see."

I teased her with an evil smirk. "We'll see about that."

A hand gripped my left wrist, and before I could even turn to see who it was, the person had already pulled me away from the two. I nearly fell to the ground since I was caught off-guard. Luckily, someone was there to catch me on time. When I looked to see who it was, I realized how early my closest friends were when they came to school.

Ino was the one who pulled me out of Karin's way, and Sakura was the one who caught me when I was about to hit the ground.

I was barely able to stand up straight because of my sudden dizziness, so that meant Sakura had to assist me into doing so. I said my thanks to her before looking back at Ino. Guess what she was doing. She was threatening the new chick.

"Listen up," Ino warned. She glares at the redhead as she continued. "I don't care if you're just starting off here in Konoha High. I WILL get you if you even try to sweet-talk Sasuke. Hell, you wouldn't want to know what I'm going to do to you when you do."

It's nice to know that Ino cares this much. But damn, she's threatening her!

Karin rolls her eyes and laughs. "It's my life, not yours. I make my own choices."

"I warned you!" Ino retorted. "And I will only warn you once. Keep that in mind."

Ino begins walking away from the main entrance. And being the good friends we were, Sakura and I followed behind. We don't even try to start a conversation. Maybe we should let Ino calm down first...

"Thanks for that, Ino..." I mumbled after a minute.

She turns her head and grins at me. "That's what friends are for, right?"

Sakura scoffs in frustration as we stop when we reach the side of the parking lot. "That girl's such a--"

"We know," Ino cuts off.

Yup, Karin's making quite a reputation around here in just two days.
