Y/N POV:
Four years later
It's now been five years since Lauren broke up with me and since I've seen her. I've gotten a lot better. I sobered up, I got a new job as a photographer, I shoot weddings, parties, portraits and all that good stuff. My favourite would have to be puppies, and babies even if those are pretty hard, I just can't stand the cuteness of it all.
Speaking of babies... My new girlfriend may or may not be nine months pregnant.... Yes, I said girlfriend. Well, she's my wife actually. Her name is Dinah-Jane Hansen, I met her when she came in for some head shots, she's an actress and a pretty amazing one at that. We've been dating for three years, and married for one of those three years. We wanted to start a family so we got a sperm donation from my best friend Adam. I've known him since the first grade and he was the first person I came out to, as I was the first he came out to.
Anyways, I'm currently at the grocery store buying random shit for Dinah's cravings.
"I want crunchy peanut butter. Not smooth. I repeat, NOT smooth."
"Okay I heard you the first time jeez."
"Don't get sassy with me Y/L/N."
"I'm sorry baby. Is there anything else you need?"
"Pickles."
"And?"
"I don't want anything el-oh! Donuts, and fried chicken!"
"Is that it?"
"Um, surprise me." She simply says through the phone.
"Okay, I'll see you soon. I love you."
"I love you too."
"And I love our little prince." I coo, not giving a fuck about the stares I'm getting from people.
"He loves you too. He'd love you more if you'd hurry your ess up."
"Okay, okay. Yesh. I never thought you could get more sassy but pregnancy has proven me wrong."
"Whatever, just hurry! I'm starving!" She literally just ate an entire bag of chips before I left. But I'm not complaining, I'd do absolutely anything for my lovely wife.
"Alright, I love you." I say again.
"Love you too." She says before hanging up. I put my phone in my pockets and go to where the peanut butter is, then the pickles, then go to get a dozen donuts from the bakery but on my way there I'm not paying attention and I run into someone, causing everything to fall out of my hands, and theirs, the pickle jar shattering to pieces.
"Oh shit! I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" I say bending down to help them pick up their things.
"It's fine, I wasn't looking either." I heard a familiar husky voice say. The voice I've been wanting but also dreading to hear for the past five years. I stop everything I'm doing and just freeze.
"Hey, you o- oh my God." she says once I look up.
"Y-Y/N?"
"Hi..." I say averting my eyes, and picking everything back up.
"Hey." she says once we're done, and we both stand up.
"Pickles, and peanut butter? Kind of a weird combination don't you think?" she asks giggling. That giggle used to make my heart flutter but now I feel absolutely nothing.
"This isn't for me."
"Who's it fo- oh." she says when she looks down, I guess she saw my ring.
"Y-you're married now?"
