Sasuke's P.O.V

Walking through the town brought back many memories. That one ramen place that Naruto always ate at was still there. There were still children and families smiling and laughing as I passed by them. And those stands selling trinkets and souvenirs continued to have business. Oh the memories. Why did I think it was such a good idea to leave such a place? That is probably one of my biggest regrets. I should have just stayed. I sighed as I continued to walk by until something caught my eye. It was Sakura pushing through the crowd with tears streaming down her face. Why did she look so hurt? I automatically start following her to where ever she was headed. After pushing through crowds of people, passing through the park, and walking through the meadows, Sakura finally comes to a stop. I couldn't help but smile a little bit. This is the place that she was named after, the cherry blossom tree. There were many rows filled with this special type of tree. She started heading towards the one on the furthest right and sat down bringing her knees to her chest staring out into the horizon with her hair flowing elegantly behind her. It was such a beautiful sight. But then tears started to develop in her eyes. What was happening at home that is causing her to feel like this? I decided to get closer, but then I accidentally caused a bush to make a rustling sound. Crap, now I'm screwed. Sakura automatically became alert and pulled out her kunai. "Show yourself!" she said in a strong demanding way. Jeez, well I guess I have no choice but to come out. While putting both hands up, I slowly made my way out of the darkness, "Hey don't worry it's just me." The expression on her face became very confused, "Sasuke?" And then that's when she started to loose her balance.

I swiftly ran over to grab her and set her down against the tree trunk. "W-wait... W-what are you doing here?" the pink haired girl asked. "I passed by you in the village. You looked upset, so I kinda decided to follow you to see where you were going. I was worried." And then her face turned a bright red. "You were worried about me? I-I thought you hated me." I frowned, "Hate you? What do you mean?" "Well," she started, "remember the night you left? You told me that I was annoying that I never shut u-" and then her voice broke. I can see that she is trying to fight back the tears that were developing in her glassy emerald eyes. I frowned. Of course, how could I forget. "Sakura, listen what ever I told you three years ago, I didn't mean any of it." She furrowed her brow, "What do you mean?" I took a deep breath in, "Well the only reason I told you those hateful words is because I knew you wouldn't let me leave. And the only way to do that was to hurt you." I closed my eyes expecting her to punch me in the face, boy did I deserve it. But she didn't budge. She just stood there with a blank expression. "Why?" she started, "What was so important that made you feel the need to just leave without a trace?" Sakura looked up to meet my gaze, she looked hurt. I could see the pain in her eyes. "I was so stupid back then. I wanted to get revenge on my brother Itachi. I managed to kill him, but I had regret it the moment I did. That is probably one of the biggest mistakes I have ever made in my entire life." I looked up at the sky. Forgive me Itachi.

I turned to look back at Sakura who was stared at the ground dazed in a deep thought. "Sakura," she looked up at me, "Please, forgive me." And then hesitantly, I slowly brought my hand to meet her cheek, softly stroking it with my thumb. And then, out of no where, she embraced me in a big hug wrapping her arms around my torso with her head leaning against my chest. I hugged her back, firmly wrapping my arms around her. And then she said the words I thought I would never hear, "I forgive you," she said in almost a whisper. We both stood there for what seemed like hours until she finally pulled away to meet my gaze. "Will I see you tomorrow?" she asked with hope in her round green eyes. I couldn't help but grin. "Meet me back here tomorrow night at 9:00 if you will still give me a second chance. I'll be here." "You promise?" she asked. "I promise, my cherry blossom."
