AFTER 5 YEARS

"As the vocalist, what can you say about the success of Gallathea, Rhyne?"

I smiled to the camera and wave to our fans. Shriek everywhere is the only thing we heard. But the moment I snapped my fingers, all our fans get shut.

"We will never be this successful, if it isn't because of our friend.. The one who made our band. So thank you for making this band." sagot ko

"I see. We heard that you're having a world tour for the new album. Pwede mo sila imbitahan!" host.

Tumingin ako kay Kino. Naintindihan nya naman iyon kaya sya na ang nag imbita sa audience. I look at Summer and Winter who's waving nonstop to their fan girls. Matapos ang variety show na pinag guess-an namin ay dumeretso agad kami sa van, which is too difficult dahil marami ang naka abang samin duon.

"Saan ang next venue?" tanung ko agad ng maka upo ako.

"Wala na. Eto ang last ngayong araw. You should take a rest guys." manager namin.

"Hay salamat! Grabe, pag galing ng Nevada ay pinasabak agad tayo sa variety show! My jet lag pa ako dude!" Summer, lumingkis agad sya sa kakambal nya.

"Kain muna tayo? Gutom na talaga ako." Winter

"Sounds good." Kino

Dumeretso agad kami sa isang restaurant. It's been five years at ngayon ay kilala na ang grupo namin world wide. Time flies so fast and we never knew that we are now this famous. I felt like I'm still the teenager that loves fucking around.

Gallathea is now a well known band. We all chose to continue what Shon left and we never regret it. Its funny that I can still remember her.

Saglitan lang kaming kumain dahil may mga fans na nangungulit samin. Gusto ko nang mag pahinga. Nag pahatid ako sa bahay ng parents ko since malapit lang iyon compare sa condo unit ko. Pag pasok ko sa bahay ay ngumiti ako.

"If it isn't my beautiful niece!"

"Tito Rhyne, is that you!?" sabay yakap nya sakin.

"The one and only. Hows my baby Cleo doing?"

Biglang lumabas ng kitchen si Ate Frio with my brother. Namilog pa yung mata ko when I saw her big round womb!

"You're pregnant! I was gone for only six months and here, may kasunod na si Cleo!" tuwang sabi ko. I gave a fist bump to him and hug the pregnant lady "Congrats."

"Ganun talaga. And guess what, kiddo, you're having a twin nephews one month from now."

"You're a sharp shooter, dude. Can't believe it!" so she's already pregnant before I left?

"You should settle down already. You're not getting any younger." him

"Unlike you." sabay alis ko. Narinig kong tumawa si Ate Frio.

Dumeretso ako sa library. Alam ko naman na naruon si Dad. Siguro kaya narito sila Kuya ay dahil wala sya'ng trabaho ngayon at napasyal. Naruon nga sya, busy sa pag babasa ng paper works.

"Dad." ngumiti agad sya sakin. Lumapit naman ako.

"Gabi na. You should rest." ako

He sat beside me and look at me. I gave him an uncomfortable smile as I scratch my left cheek and grimace. He tap my head like before and look at me again.. A listless smile.

"I don't know if I have to be thankful. But ever since she has gone.. You're smiling very often and now.. Very easy to approach." my smile fade away and look at him.

"Rhyne, naka uwi ka na daw?"

Ngumiti agad ako kay Mom. She hugged me tight and as usual, she kissed me again. I lift her up and put her at the single couched sofa. Sya na ang pinaka maliit samin dahil mas malaki pa kami ni Kuya kay Dad.

"Yeah. Mag papalipas muna ako ng gabi at uuwi ako sa unit ko bukas to ready for another interview."

"Showbiz. Aren't you tired of it, Rhyne? Why don't you help your father to take over the company? Ang Kuya mo ay nag take over sa company ko while running his own." Mom

"Are we going to talk about this again?" inis na sabi ko.

"Hon, tumigil ka na. Hayaan mo sya. Masaya pa naman ako sa trabaho ko." Dad

"I know, but Rain! Are you just going to wait till you can't move even the tip of your finger bago ibigay kay Rhyne ang company? Anak, understand us. Hindi naman kita pinigilan sa pag pasok mo ng showbiz.. But don't you think it is enough? Simula ng mawala si Shon--"

"Mom ano ba? Wala na yung tao, binabalik mo na naman!" ako

"I'm just telling the truth! You will never move on if you keep on carrying the band that she made!" Mom

"Claud. Hayaan mo sinabi si Rhyne!" Dad

"But Rain!"

"Enough." Dad

"Look Mom. Hindi lang naman ang showbiz ang buhay ko. I have my business as well. I will take over the company but right now, I want this." mag sasalita pa sana si Mom pero nag salita uli ako.

"Lets end this Mom. Aalis na ako at sa unit ko na mag papahinga."

Lumabas ako saka hiniram yung isang sasakyan. Akala ko pa naman ayus na. Si Mom.. Binabalik nya na naman sa past ang lahat. Of course naaawa ako kay Dad pero nakikita ko parin sa kanya yung passion sa pag papatakbo ng company.
