Chapter: 2

I had called my brother Stefan and told him about Iris and what she had said, right away he said he would be home with Elena as soon as possible.

''Okay Stefan is on his way, now tell me what you know about me in 1864'' I said 

''Well everyone knew the Salvatore brothers, especially the nice and caring Damon Salvatore'' Iris said 

''Uh, the old me I hate that phase of my life'' I said 

''At the time you were human Damon you werent so twisted and cruel like now, well anyways the first time I saw you was at the founders ball, you were alone and watching as Katherine and Stefan danced'' Iris said 

''But your 16 years old I couldnt have forgotten you'' I said 

''I was always watching over you, I was in love with you but then again everyone was but you only had eyes for Katherine'' Iris said 

''I mean how did you watch over me or...'' I said confused

''Pearl's daughter, Anna'' Iris said 

''What about her'' I said 

''Well I was always with them, Pearl went to go see Katherine every single day so Anna and me would sneak off to see you'' Iris said 

''But why me at the time, why not Stefan'' I asked 

''At the time everyone seemed to fall for Stefan and I was the only girl in town not falling on my knees for him but for his brother who was quiet and kind'' Iris said 

''Hahahahahaha, well hate to break it to you but I'm not like 1864'' I said 

''I know but I'm still attracted to you and I like your fearless and cruel attitude now, Damon why did you drink Katherines blood?'' Iris asked 

I thought back to the day I drank from Katherine's blood and remembered how much I loved  her and what I was willing to do for her.

''I was in love and I actually thought we would be together forever, but then she turned out too be a vampire bitch so yeah didnt work out'' I answered honestly

''Katherine had Stefan and you wrapped around her finger'' Iris said 

''Let's change subject shall we'' I said 

''Funny how Elena is the doppelganger and your in love with her like Katherine'' Iris said 

It didnt take a second for me to get her by the throat

''Damon I wouldnt, news travels around that Klaus is looking for Elena thats why I came back to Mystic Falls to warn you'' Iris said, I finally let go and Iris started coughing

Before I could say another word Stefan and Elena walk in with worried expressions

''Hello brother'' I said

''What's going on?'' Stefan said seriously

''Fine no hello, well I told you on the phone about this kid and blah blah blah, well now she is telling me that Klaus isn't just looking for her he is also looking for Elena the doppelganger'' I said 

''But Klaus thinks I'm dead, how could he have found out that I'm still alive'' Elena said 

''Well I might have an idea on who told him'' Iris said quietly

''Speak'' I said 

''Katherine'' Iris said 

We all stood there thinking then it came to me like cold air

''Um Stefan and Elena I never told you this but Alaric came and told me bodies were found, logical vampire attacks, I think Klaus is already here'' I said 

''What, Damon why didnt..'' Stefan said but I cut him off

''It didnt seem important and you guys barely got here, didn't want to overwhelm you'' I said sarcasticly

''Well I need to protect Elena from Klaus, so brother your going to protect Iris'' Stefan commanded

''Okay leave me vulnerable and go save yourself'' I said 

''Damon were all going to leave Mystic Falls for a while until Klaus leaves and gives up'' Stefan said 

''Stefan you know Klaus better then anyone and you know he wont give up until he has what he wants'' I said 

''Damon listen to Stefan'' Elena pleaded

''Where am I going to hide'' I asked rolling my eyes

''At Johnathan Gilberts house'' Stefan said 

''That's just a couple of miles out of Mystic Falls, Klaus will find us'' Iris said 

''I agree with the kid''I said 

''Klaus cant go in that house'' Stefan said 

''Yes he can'' Iris and me said at the same time

''He was at the Founders Ball in 1864'' Iris said 

''Yeah but Elena bought the house so Elena has to invite Klaus in'' Stefan said 

''Nice tactic, brother'' I said 

''So we hide there we should leave now'' Iris said 

''Stefan you leave first I want to make sure know one is following you'' I said

''Damon are you worrying'' Stefan asked

''Elena has to be safe'' I said

''I wont let Klaus touch her'' Stefan said

''We should go'' Elena said

They went outside to Stefan's car and said there goodbyes and sped away leaving me alone with Iris.

''Let's go'' I said 

Moments later we were on the dark road, we didnt say a word to each other for a while

''Why does Klaus want you and Elena'' I asked 

''He wants to make a new species of vampire'' Iris said worriedly
