Chapter 7

"I'll teach you a few tricks... When you're in a situation like this," Kris says before pushing Tao to the ground and getting on top of him.

Before Tao fully falls to the ground, Kris's hand is under his head, keeping it from hitting the hard ground. Tao looks up at him with wide eyes before resuming to his neutral emotionless face as Kris sits on top of him.

"So... You raise your hips like this," Kris instructs, gently putting his hands on Tao's waist and pulling them up. "This will push me forwards and your hands will grab my hips."

Kris falls forwards slowly, giving Tao enough time to put his hands on Kris's waist.

"Then you roll me to the side and get on top of me," Kris says.

Tao does as he says and then he's on top of Kris.

"Great. Shall we try a mini battle?" Kris asks with a wolfish grin.

Tao bites his lip nervously as he nods. "Yeah."

Kris looks up at him expectantly. It takes Tao a moment before realizing he has to get off of Kris and let him up. He puts out his hand which Kris takes but instead of being pulled up, he pulls Tao to the ground and onto his lap.

Kris moves swiftly, instantly changing their positions while his hand goes underneath Tao's head again to keep it from hurting. Tao smiles gratefully up at Kris before doing the maneuver that Kris just taught him. Except... When he rolls over on top of Kris, he doesn't manage to get himself upright and he ends up practically laying on top of him.

Tao flushes and instantly goes to hide his face against Kris's neck... Which he realizes after, doesn't help his case. Kris chuckles softly and slides his arms around Tao, holding him close.

"Don't hurt me..." Tao whimpers softly, instantly cursing at himself for sounding so helpless.

Around the almighty devil, Tao doesn't want to appear weak. He wants to seem strong and capable... He wants Kris to think of him as an equal, not a helpless little angel from heaven.

To Tao's surprise, Kris simply laughs quietly, making his chest rumble. "Of course not... I'm here to protect you."

"My guardian angel," Tao breathes, his surprise uncontrollable as it spreads throughout all of his features.

"Hm?" Kris asks before sitting up, holding a Tao close to him.

Tao can't help but feel Kris's well defined abs underneath his tight shirt as he lifts them up.

"G-Guardian angel..." Tao says quietly. "Only guardian angels say that when someone tells them not to hurt them... No one else can ever say it..."

"I'm a devil, Tao," Kris says softly, gently running a hand through Tao's hair.

"I know..." Tao says. "But no one can say it unless you're a guardian angel."

"So... How would I know if I really was your guardian angel?" Kris asks.

"You'd have to do a test... And fate would have had to have lead you to me... Or me to you," Tao explains.

"What's in the test?" Kris asks.

"There's just a couple things that only guardian angels can say when they reply to you. Another guardian angel wouldn't be able to say it to me unless they were my guardian angel," Tao says. "The words are the first thing you think of and you can't say anything else except for them."

"Okay... Shoot," Kris says.

"So... Um... Don't hurt me," Tao says.

"Of course not... I'm here to protect you," Kris says.

"Really?" Tao asks.

"Of course, I'm your guardian angel," Kris says, the words spilling out of his mouth.

Tao looks equally surprised as Kris. Kris clasps his hands over his mouth, confused and partially horrified.

"Why?" Tao asks.

"Because I was made to be your guardian angel. To protect you from all harm. That is my sole purpose," Kris answers.

"Who made you?" Tao asks quietly.

"That is highly confidential information," Kris says.

That's when Tao freaks out, standing up and starting run away only not knowing where to go and ends up running around the gym. His insides flutter with excitement and fear upon finding out that Kris is his guardian angel. The guardian he thought he never had.

"Tao..." Kris says calmly and softly, standing up and walking towards where Tao is frozen.

"H-How?" Tao asks, looking up at Kris with wide, scared eyes.

"I don't know... I'll make a few calls and find out, okay?" Kris says.

Tao simply nods before looking down. In a flash, Kris's arms are around Tao, holding him tight, protecting him. Tao sniffles slightly, suddenly feeling calm and reassured in his guardian angel's arms.

Luhan frowns from the doorway as he watches Sehun make a mess in his kitchen.

"Sehun," Luhan says in what he thinks is a stern voice.

Sehun looks over at Luhan, mid-reach for a glass. He instantly flushes and pulls his hand away, accidentally making the glass drop. It crashes to the floor, shattering into a million pieces. Sehun goes even redder and instantly looks down at the floor.

Luhan chuckles softly and Sehun looks up at him with wide eyes before bringing his hands up to his face, covering it. Luhan laughs again and Sehun flushes behind his hands before putting them down, grinning and doing aegyo.

Luhan bursts out into uncontrollable laughter, wiping tears from his eyes. Sehun's smile widens as he looks at Luhan with wide eyes and flushed cheeks.

"Oh Sehun... You have got to be illegal," Luhan says. "Oh Sehun..."

"Yes, that's my last name, Luhan hyung... You don't have to keep saying it," Sehun says.

Luhan chuckles before walking over and ruffling Sehun's hair.

"Yah, Luhan! Don't cut your feet!" Sehun says upon seeing Luhan's bare feet.

Sehun instantly picks up Luhun and carries him out of the mess he made. He carefully sets Luhan down on the couch before falling to his knees in front of him.

"M-Mianhae..." Sehun says, embarrassed.

Luhan smiles before ruffling Sehun's hair again. "Don't worry..."

Sehun watches in awe as Luhan snaps his fingers. Plates and glasses immediately find their broken pieces and mend together before landing back up on the shelf in their correct places.

"Next time just ask," Luhan says with a grin before going and grabbing a glass for Sehun.

"I... I didn't think you would be able to reach," Sehun admits, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

Luhan sighs, shaking his head. "This is my house Sehun... Do you think I would make it so I can't reach what I need."

Sehun shrugs, flushing. "I-I don't know..."

Luhan laughs. "Okay Sehunnie... C'mon. Let's get lunch."
