Society

I want to burn these bridges

I want to cross the lines

I want to laugh in people's faces

And tell them that they're wrong

 But I can't, I simply can't

And this frustration grows too big

When I go online, I see

There's a person dead in Texas

But no one cares about that

 They're worrying about your sexuality

Or your gender or your skin color

 A black man's been shot

They say nothing for the white man

A judge takes a child away

 They blame their lesbian parents

And I see these things everyday

And I want to say they're wrong

But these bridges are made of hatred

And the lines are too blurry to see

 What's right and what's wrong

Why do people mix them up?

 Does decency still exist?

 Oh no-wait-

 That's just society, everyone

And this is where I end

 This burning hatred for society

 Will never change

Much like the world we're in
