I woke up feeling so hot, it wasn't summer yet, but it sure felt like it. I turned and almost fell off the bed. Actually the couch, I was sleeping in the living room. I heard movement coming from the kitchen, so decided to see what he was doing there. I spotted Lucas's button up and put it on over my under wear, before heading to were the coffee smell came from. As I approached the bar that separated the dining room from the kitchen, I spotted him cutting fruits in a bowl. He remembered I liked fruit for breakfast.

- Good morning. I left you a glass of water there. – He greeted once he saw me taking a seat by the bar, on the other side of the kitchen. I took the glass and drank it completely.

- Thanks. – I replied quietly as he set the bowl in the middle of us, as he took a seat on the other side of the bar. – Last night was... fun. – I stated unsure. Unsure of whether he regretted it or not.

- You don't sound so convinced. – He chuckled while taking a sip of his cup.

- Well, no... I mean, I had fun. I just don't think that that was what I should have done. I don't want to be submissive, as in doing whatever pleases you, whenever you feel like it. I don't want to sound rancorous; I'm really not holding a grudge against you. Though I can't say I like the way you treat me either. – I tried explaining.

- I understand. And I apologize. I honestly think you are extremely good-looking and in two occasions I happened to get carried away because of that... and did things we both enjoyed.- He paused and said that last bit smirking. Then he continued: - I have to admit that was a first time, it never happened to me before that a woman catches my attention so much, and that's what confuses me.

- So what are we going to do about it? – I asked in a straight forward way.

- I can't and won't do anything about it. I enjoy spending time with you and would love to see you on more occasions, but I can't commit or get attached. I'm devoted to my business only, meaning I wouldn't be able to spend time with you for months maybe, and probably will treat you like shit when things go wrong in the business, as you witnessed this past few days. I can't promise to stay faithful either, nor being able to protect you outside my house in case something happens to you because you are seeing me. – Lucca warned me, staring at me straight in the eye.

He was so f*cking hot and a king in bed, but not worth going through that. I'm planning to start a family before my thirties and getting involved in that sh*t, for more appealing that it sounded, was not getting me there. Plus, I'm not up for the drama or heart ache, I want a peaceful and healthy relationship.

- Well... I guess this is it then. I'm not up for that: the drama, the lies, the heart ache, just such a complicated relationship that only bad things can come out from. Thank you for being honest and straight forward about it, and not leading me on blindfolded into a disaster. – I finished, at least let's end whatever this was in good terms.

He just chuckled and looked down to his cup.

- What? - I asked curious of his thoughts, while taking a bite of my breakfast.

- I can't believe you are actually thanking me. – He explained and fully laughed now. Then he mumbled to himself: "you are something else".

We finished breakfast with small talk, and when Clement was outside, it was his time to leave.

- Oh, wait, your shirt! – I remembered when he was opening the door; I took it off and handed it to him.

- What's wrong, boss? – The bulky that's always with him stuck his head through the crack Lucca had opened. I immediately tried to cover, though it wasn't that big of a deal, it's the same as a bikini, really. Lucca saw the man staring at me.
