Chapter One

I could be doing something much more productive today then going along with the alpha to pick up his baby sister and his parents. I could have been spending some much needed time getting laid, which hasn't happened in a while due to our huge work load at the moment. Rogues meant paperwork and not filling out the correct paperwork when you kill one could get you killed yourself

I was currently looking out the passenger window of Cade's BMW as he drove us to the airport, he had insisted I came along because I was apparently part of the family. If I could have gotten out of this hour long drive I would have, but when Cade asked me I couldn't really say no, he's my best friend and my alpha so it was basically expected of me. Besides its best to have company on an hour long drive. Not that I was much company at the moment

I heard the click of fingers in front of my face which made me look over to Cade "you alright there buddy? You've been pretty quiet most of the way" Cade looked over at me with an eyebrow raised before he turned back to the road

I sigh and decided to tell him what I was actually thinking "yeah, just I could have been getting laid then going on this stupid trip with you" I laughed

He laughed in return "it's alright, when you eventually find your mate you'll never think your not getting enough" he winked over at me

Cade had found his mate almost a year ago, she was from a neighboring pack and they just bumped into each other at the mall one day. Ever since then they've almost been inseparable

The thought of finding my mate made me smile "are things really that good?" I was curious as to how it all worked. I had been waiting three (what felt like) long years already and I was ready to settle down. If only I could find her

He smiled over at me "it's the best" he grinned, pausing for a moment he looked out the front window in a daze "I have never been so happy, she completes me and well... I'll let you work out the rest on your own" he laughed

I was happy for my alpha, he had a great Luna by his side and the pack all loved her. The only reason she wasn't invited along for the ride was the fact she was pregnant. I felt empty when I thought of finding my own mate, what if it never happened and I was alone forever? I shook those thoughts out of my head

We soon arrived at the airport and I was happy to get out of the car. I hated being cramped in the tight space of the car, I'd rather be running in wolf form and to be honest it probably would have been quicker

I followed Cade into the airport as we searched for the arrivals, we found it soon enough and took a seat that faced it. I placed my elbows on my legs and leant down watching as people walked passed. I hated waiting, I was extremely impatient and I fought the urge to just tell Cade I was going to run back home

It was then a stunning woman began walking toward us, she had long brunette hair that was almost at her waist, a face that looked like it was carved by angels, long luscious legs that were attached to sexually swaying hips in a knee length blue dress that showed off all her curves, I bit down on the side of my lip and watched as she walked closer to us. Maybe I could give her my phone number before she leaves?

The woman kept walking our way and I wondered if maybe she'd give me her number? She smiled over at me then looked in Cade's direction and her smile grew bigger. She must find Cade more attractive then me

I looked away sadly until I felt the chair beside me shift as Cade stood up "little sis!" He yelled at the woman before running to her

The woman ran toward him at the same time "big bro!" She grinned

It was at that moment I realised I was just checking out the alphas sister, a big no, no in my books with me being the beta and all. She had changed so much I didn't even recognise her, that cheeky thirteen year old face I remember was gone and there before me was a gorgeous woman "no hug for me?" I heard someone say before looking up and seeing Electra standing over me
