Chapter 22

Alisha's P.O.V

Zack asked me to come over. And yesterday he said not to. What the actual hell? I was gonna go to the Underworld but now I can't! What's up with this guy?

I turned on my phone and called Josh.

"Hello?" His voice says.

"Hi," I say.

"Hey Princess what's up?" Josh asks.

"I've gotta cancel our plans. Zack has something important to tell me so I have to go over to his place," I say.

"What? No!" Josh whines. Awe he sounded like a child.

"Don't worry, when I get back we can watch a movie and cuddle or whatever," I say.

"Hmmm, I guess that could make up for it," Josh says. I giggle.

"Ok Prince, I'll see you tonight," I say.

"Bye Princess," Josh says and with that I hang up the phone.

I walked to my car because it was the end of the day, and drove to Zack's house. I parked in his drive way and sat there in my seat.

What does he want to tell me? I ask myself.

Well go inside and find out stupid! My brain says.

I sigh and get out of the car. I knock on his door and in a second the door is opened and I'm pulled inside.

"You're here!" Zack exclaims.

"Yeah!" I exclaim.

"Uh...sit down," he says.

I walk to the living room and sit down on the couch.

Zack sat down on the other couch and looked uncomfortable.

"Is everything alright?" I ask.

"To be honest, no," Zack says with a sigh.

We sat in an awkward silence for a few minutes.

Well is he gonna say anything?

"Alright, here I go," he starts.

"You probably remember the end of freshman year when, we, uh, stopped being friends," Zack says.

I nod. No duh! He almost killed me!

"Yeah well uh, I was mad at you for all the wrong reasons," he says.

I raise my eyebrow at him. I thought he didn't like me because I was ugly, annoying and fat.

"Alisha, let me ask you something. When was the last time you saw my parents?" Zack asks.

"What does that have to do with anything?" I ask.

"Just answer the question!" Zack snaps. I sigh and respond.

"I don't know. 2 years ago," I say.

"Alisha, there's a reason for that," Zack says.

I'm so confused right now.

"Zack just please tell me," I say.

"Ok. At the end of freshman year, Nina held a big party right? And she invited you, me, Ally and a bunch of other people. You called and asked if my parents could give you a ride and they said yes," Zack starts.

I nod. Yeah I remember that. I motion him to go on.

"Alisha, while we were driving to your house something happened. And it wasn't exactly good," Zack says.
