Shawn Mendes Imagine

"Three-fourths butter, two eggs, one cup of— Shawn, I said two eggs." I stopped abruptly from reading my recipe, looking up at Shawn who just rolled his eyes.

"Why do they even make difference?" He mumbled to himself as he opened the fridge door and put the extra egg back, shaking his head like it was my fault.

"Because it'll taste bad if we don't follow the instructions, dumbass." I set down the paper, walking over to our cabinet to pull out a package of flour. He stepped closer, pouting.

"Why can't we have fun like the movies?" He asked, wrapping his arms around my waist as I struggled to move.

"We are not throwing our ingredients, that's just wasteful." I shook my head, peering over his grasp to see the next item and amount needed. "Who said we were throwing?"

I gasped as a cool liquid ran down my back from my head, the white shell falling to the floor. "Shawn Mendes!" I exclaimed, flicking off the yolk from my hair.

"I told you no!"

"And I never said I was listening." He shrugged sassily, like he already had this planned out to his advantage. With him being 6'2, I can barely stand up to his shoulders.

I just shook it off until he turned around, seizing my opportunity to shove flour down his shirt.

"Hey! That's not fair!" He squirmed, fanning out his back. I playfully pushed his shoulder, "Neither was you cracking an egg on my head."

We decided not to try anything on each other, and while the cookies were baking, we were busy cleaning the floor. "This is why the movies don't work."

I groaned as the words came out of my mouth, continuing to wipe the floor intensely. I could feel Shawn roll his eyes, "Shut up baby, you loved it."

"Yeah, because everyone enjoys getting egg all over. Mhmm."

We finished removing the food from the floor a couple minutes before our timer went off. I grabbed the thick mitts, pulling the tray out of the oven. Shawn quickly moved back, watching as I pushed Hershey Kisses into the center of each cookie, proceeding to set out the cookies onto a cooling rack.

"I love peanut butter kiss cookies." Shawn's words muffled as he shoved one in his mouth, ignoring the burning pain from how hot the desert was.

"Owf! Rrmm." Shawn let out, swallowing the soft cookie so it wouldn't light his mouth on fire anymore.

"Babe, we still gotta made fudge. Don't eat all those, they're for your parents when we go over there for the party." Shawn just rolled his eyes again, "I'll eat them all when we're there, anyways. Shouldn't I get a head start?"

I playfully hit him, shaking my head in reply as I started melting the sugar.

"Shouldn't you save some for your relatives? It's only tomorrow, you can wait that long." I told him once more, steering him away from the hot cookies.

"Nah, they're good." He shrugged, making a quick grab to steal anther cookie.

"Stop it, loser. They're gonna be annoyed when I show up with nothing."

"When we'll show up with nothing." He corrected after.

"After we're done, can we cuddle? 'M tired," Shawn asked lazily, resting his head on my shoulder as I stirred the melted sugar.

"Yeah, but remember we have to be productive tomorrow and go to your mother's house."

He groaned, "Don't even mention it now."

I just smiled and waited till the substance was boiling to add in the rest.

Once put into a pan to cool, he dragged me away from the messy kitchen, pulling me into our soft covers where Netflix was displayed on our tv.

"Friends?" He questioned, though already putting it on without my consent.

"Of course." I cuddled into his chest, his warmth holding me.
