Shawn Mendes Imagine

"I know, I've been-- It's been... Crazy. Surreal," He laughed lightly, "You use that word too much."

"Shut up," He smiled, "it's a good word."

"Don't tell me what to do," I joked, hoping to ease the mood and tension. Of course touring meant separation, we both knew that. We both knew it was going to be difficult to see each other's faces even once a week.

But, it wasn't worth breaking up over, right? I'll remain loyal to him through anything, and he does the same.

"So, excited to play in Toronto?" I looked up from staring at the empty dish of mac n cheese on my desk, to staring at the webcam for a moment, before glancing down at Shawn.

He thought for a moment, "Yeah, I'm excited. Nervous, of course, but I guess that comes with playing in your hometown."

"Nervous? They love you, we all love you." I assured, though I was certain he knows.

"No I know, but it's kinda like if I don't do good I failed them, you know?" Shawn shrugged, shaking it off just as quickly.

"Hey, only three more weeks. Then I get to see your pretty face and it'll all be good for a few days." I tried to make him feel better along with myself, I missed him too.

He titled his head, "What? It's been like two months, I'll see you after the third one is over, I think." I mumbled, feeling stupid because he hadn't said he missed me back.

"Maybe, maybe not." He didn't say anything else, moving as if he was muting himself. He looked off screen, talking to someone else.

"Hey, sorry about that. Andrew's kickin' me off for the day, but I'll text you and call when I can, alright?"

"Yeah, no problem. I gotcha... Talk to you later, bye," I smiled, doing a little wave before hitting the end button.

Thanks for ruining it, Andrew.

I shut my laptop closed, pushing it away from me on my desk. I sighed loudly to myself and got up from the chair, stretching lightly and walking out of my room.

"I'm gonna go take a walk, be back in a little bit," I called to anyone in my house who was listening. I had nothing better to do than clear my head and get some exercise, and the more I think about it, that's something Shawn and I used to do a lot.

"Hey, wait," My mom answered back after a moment, and I paused at our front door.

"Be back here by 4:30, alright?" I titled y head, it was barely four o'clock right now. "Dinner," She added, and I nodded. "See ya in a bit," I  mumbled to myself, shutting the door firmly behind me so it would let out as least cool air as possible.

I pulled out my phone, putting in earbuds and clicking my main playlist, then setting timer for when I need to start heading back.

All Time Low began playing in my ears, and I moved towards a nearby biking path.

I exhaled as I stepped, searching for a topic in my mind to stick with.

Shit. Did I leave the stove on?

Really? That's the first thing that comes to mind?

Sorry.
So if Supernatural breaks a fourth wall inside a fourth wall.. That's like, sixteen walls.

Y/n, stop while you're ahead with the Deadpool references, please.

After finally turning off that side of my brain, I realized it was almost time to turn back and I had not benefitted from this walk mentally at all yet.

Why hasn't Shawn been calling like usual?

I suddenly registered that information in my head, because that was the first time I've heard his voice in two and a half weeks.

Dude's busy, I know. Typically Sunday's are his free days though, unless he's hanging out with the crew but not too late.

I glanced at my phone's watch, seeing I had about eight minutes before I was supposed to be back home. Oops, it's only dinner even if I'm a few minutes late.

I turned my heel and started my way back home, deciding not to concentrate on my meshed thoughts and only on the beat of the music.

Gotta love Paramore.

Getting lost in the music and accidentally overshooting my house, I checked the time again and smiled when I was one minute early this time. I turned off the music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone once more, yelling "I'm back!" from the doorway.

I heard bustling in the kitchen, and as I went to go check, my mom popped out of no where. "Hi, how was your walk?" She asked, leaned against the wall for support.

"It was fine, it's fairly nice out," I shrugged, not really feeling like giving a detailed answer.

"I made poutine for dinner, nothing special though," She said, stepping away and walking back into the dining room.

I frowned on the inside, as I remembered that's one of Shawn's favorite meals. I followed, sitting down at my usual spot as I waited for my dad to come down and sit with us.

"Wait, I gotta plug in my phone, be right back," I mumbled to myself more of as I noticed it was at twenty-four percent.

I jogged up the stairs, stopping in front of my door as I heard someone playing my guitar in my room. I rolled my eyes as I opened the door, "Dad, what did I say about-- Holy shit." I cursed, dropping my phone.

Shawn looked up from the frets, smiling. "Hi baby," He said softly, setting down the guitar carefully as I rushed over to him.

"Ohmygod I missed you so much, I was worried you didn't," I breathed into his shirt, taking in his scent.

"I knew I was going to see you today and it helped me get through the long ass car ride here," He laughed lightly, and I studied him. Hearing his laugh after so long was beautiful.

"Did you have this planned since the beginning of the tour?" I asked after a moment of silence, pulling back slightly but not letting go of him.

"Hmm, maybe." He hugged me a little tighter before releasing completely. "So, can we go eat now? I heard your mom made poutine."
