Hey guys! We are back with the_hooded_girl. She is the author of Silver Lining, Crow's Feathers and many more splendid works.
HasiVA: Hi the_hooded_girl. Let's start with an introduction, shall we?
the_hooded_girl: Okay ehh... My name is Selma and I've been writing ever since I could hold a pen.
HasiVA: You have wrote many works. Are you aspiring to become a writer? Are there any other ambitions as well?
the_hooded_girl: I usually just write for myself and one day I decided I could post it online. Since I write a lot of fanfic too, I can't really publish it, but I'm working on some original stories as well. Who knows, maybe one day I'll have them published. What I would really like to do is work with animals.
HasiVA: How have your friends and family encouraged you on your path of writing?
the_hooded_girl: Yes they have. My friends tell me I have talent, but they're my friends. Of course they'd say that :P
HasiVA: Ha ha. Quite true. You seem to have many fans. Care to recommend any Undiscovered Gems?
the_hooded_girl: Where do I start? Well, my first fan form the early days is Amaterasu. She has some great Naruto fanfics that you should really check out. Then there is misslalaland23 and shelbylw03, Tsukuyomi666, ShojoRomantica. I can't choose! Don't make me choose! Just check out all my friends please.
HasiVA: In "About Me", you say wolves fascinate you, because of they are mysterious and wild. Would you like to possess their mysterious and wild qualities?
the_hooded_girl: Yes, most certainly.
HasiVA: Railway Rats is a very touching story. What made you write such a story?
the_hooded_girl: I don't really know. I used to travel a lot by train and you see so many people on a platform. everyone has a story, but you can't tell from the outside. I like to think about people i see and wonder what their story is.
HasiVA: Which is more encouraging? Praise from everyday people or from people you have never met before and most probably never will?
the_hooded_girl: I have to say people I've never met before. I know the people around me will always support me, but if someone you don't know tells you you did something good, it only makes it more valuable.
HasiVA: How did you get your inspiration for Taryn Desertstorm in Crow's Feathers?
the_hooded_girl: I'm not sure. I was thinking about Gaara a lot and wondered what it would be like if there had been someone to look out for him. I didn't want it to be a lover, but it had to be someone that wasn't around him anymore and she had to be part of the reason he turned out the way he is. So it became a banished sibling. I made the connection to the Hyuuga clan to have a link with Konoha and somehow Itachi and Kakashi came into the picture. Don't know how.:) The name Taryn means thunder and Desertstorm, well i guess that one is obvious :)
HasiVA: What piece are you most proud of and why?
the_hooded_girl: I think it is Crow's Feathers for now. I feel a link with Taryn. I guess I am a lot like her at times. And it is the longest (continuing) story I have written so far.
HasiVA: Is there something you want writers out there to know?
the_hooded_girl: As long as you believe in your own work it doesn't matter what others say. Take suggestions to heart, because they make you a better writer, but if you love writing, just keep doing it.
HasiVA: That's it folks and thanks the_hooded_girl for that lovely interview!
That's a wrap people! Let's meet again on another chapter for the next interview!
