Ezra Bridger: Moments With His Family

FATHER'S DAY

Ezra was in his room, lay on his bed thinking about his dad, today was fathers day, Ezra hadn't celebrated it for years because he hasn't had a dad to celebrate. He suddenly had an idea and it put a smile on his face, Ezra jumped out of bed and went to the living room where everyone was, "hey Ez" the boy was greeted and then greeted back "hey guys". Everyone saw Ezra was a little bit extra happy but said nothing of it "I'm gonna head into town for a bit" the teen said, they all nodded, Hera quickly said before he left with his backpack "okay, but stay safe and be back before 3 pm", the boy shouted "OKAY" as he ran off the ramp and towards Capital city. Once Ezra reached the city, he could see loads of kids with their dads, Ezra looked around everywhere looking for the supplies he needed which were:

1)paper.

2)colors.

3)pencil.

4)a locket.

5)wrapping paper.

It took Ezra 3 hours but he finally found what he needed, he also noticed the time it was 1 pm, "I have 2 hours left before getting back, better hurry up" and with that he made sure he had all he bought in he backpack and began to run to his tower. Ezra got there in 20 minutes, climbed the ladder in 5 minutes and got in, "okay, first i need to draw the picture for the card then write a message for the card, then cut out a small picture for the locket, and then put the locket in the box and wrap it up" and with that he begun. It took him 30 minutes to drew a drawing of the ghost crew...family, then he printed, cut and stuck in the locket, a picture he had, the locket was an oval shape with the letter 'K' on it which was made out of blue diamond. Ezra was super happy with the gift, card and drawing, he was just really nervous about giving it to Kanan, but he had a plan, Kanan wouldn't know it was from the boy, Ezra would secretly leave it in the older Jedi's room when he got back, the card didn't have the boys name on and the handwriting looked nothing like his normal writing, it was way neater. Ezra looked at the holoclock he had and saw it was 2:30 pm, "better hurry or else Hera will have my head" and with that he gently placed the enveloped card/drawing and wrapped box in his backpack and left. Ezra sneaked onto the 'Ghost', got to Kanan's room and placed the envelope and box on his bed then left, he entered the kitchen and was greeted as usual "so, what you been up to all day?" Sabine asked, everyone looked at the boy who just grabbed an apple to eat "not much just been walking around and thinking" was all he said as he began to eat, "Kanan, can you go grab me the holomap from your room please?" Hera asked "okay" was all he said as he stood up and walked to his room, which made Ezra happy but nervous. Kanan got to his room, and grabbed the holomap but just as he was about to leave something on his bed court his eye,"what the.." he said as he looked at a wrapped box and envelope, he was confused but happy, so he grabbed the gifts and walked back to the kitchen. He gave the holomap to Hera, then sat down "what's that?" Zeb asked getting everyone's attention "i don't know, a gift i guess" Sabine then said "well, open it then". Kanan opened the envelope first and was amazed at the incredible drawing "Sabine?" he asked since she was the artiest but the young girl shook her head, making him even more confused and curious, he read the letter out load

"Dear Kanan

Happy Father's Day, i know your not my dad but your the closest thing i have to one and i guess I've found my new dad. I love you so much, from ????"

Everyone was surprised and shocked but Ezra but acted like everyone else "who?" was all Hera could say, "open the present" Zeb said, Kanan did as told, he unwrapped the gift, showing a black box, "open it, open it, open it" Hera and Sabine really excited they all laughed and finally, Kanan opened the box. He gasped at the sight, Zeb, Hera and Sabine wanted to know what it was, Kanan twisted the box around showing the locket, "whoa" Zeb said as the two girls looked at the locket, Ezra started to play along "looks nice" he said as he finished his apple "yeah...it is, but who got it me? I don't act like a dad to anyone, do i?" the older Jedi asked, looking at them all, something in Zeb, Hera, Sabine and Chopper clicked 'Ezra' they all thought. Kanan put the locket necklace around his neck "looks great, i like the K" Hera said, everyone smiled. "I forgot it was Father's Day, what about you Ezra?" Sabine asked trying to get Ezra to confess, but the boy was stubborn "i knew, but i haven't celebrated it in years" the boy said, everyone looked at him "why?" Zeb asked, Ezra sighed "i didn't have a dad to celebrate with, did i, so what's the point in celebrating?" everyone was sad at what the teen had said but soon Zeb and Sabine noticed something "past tense" the teen girl said, "what?" Kanan, Hera and Ezra asked in confusion, Zeb explained "you used past tense,as in didn't, that means you know have a dad" Hera soon understood what they were going on about, Kanan was still confused and Ezra was beginning to get nervous "Ezra, have you got anything to tell us? Or more like have something to tell Kanan?" Hera asked, Ezra was now beyond nervous 'oh no oh no oh no' was the only thing on his mind but he played it cool "no, nothing at all" but now, Kanan could feel through the force that Ezra was nervous and hiding something "Ezra?" was all the man said. Ezra quickly jumped out of his seat and ran out the room "so it was Ezra who got you these things" Zeb said, everyone nodded but Kanan soon went looking for his Padawan, he looked through the force and felt the boy was in the training room so that's where he went, "Ezra2 the man said as he entered the room, Ezra knew there was no point hiding "yes Kanan" the teen said as he looked out the window, Kanan sat next to the boy "so, you drew the picture" Ezra nodded "and you got me the locket" another nod "and the message?" Ezra answered but kept looking out the window "what about is?", "did you really mean it?" Kanan asked, the young boy turned his head to look at his master, he looked him in the eye "every word" was all he had to say. Kanan pulled the boy into a bone crushing fatherly hug, shocking the boy but Ezra didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Kanan, his.....dad, "i love you too, Ezra, more then you will ever know" they both smiled and stayed like that for a while, Chopper once again rolled in unnoticed, took a picture and rolled out, gave the picture to Sabine who stuck it in the book. Kanan and Ezra walked back into the kitchen where Hera, Zeb, Sabine and Chopper were, they all smiled as the two Jedi sat down 'we're a family, not a crew' was what they were all thinking.
