In one hour

In one hour someone says i love you
In one hour a miracle happens,a child can be born,a promise can be made
A promise can be kept
A promise can be broken
A person can smile,a person can frown,a person can cry tears of joy,a person can cry tears of misery
Someone may comfort them
And someone may be why theyre crying
In an hour a girl could have been deciding if what she felt was love
In one hour that girl couldve told herself over and over it wasnt love
And she did
In that hour she sat by her phone and waited
She waited for a boy to agree to closure or to try to keep what they had
And so she sat in that hour waiting
And the boy,he finally answered
He finally decided she was worth enough time to answer to
And when she read what he said she cried
Only then did she know closure was not what she wanted
Closure was what she needed,but what she wanted was so far off from that
But closure was what he wanted
It was for her own good he said
It was so she wouldnt get hurt he said
And she laid and wondered how he could say such a thing when all she could feel was hurt
How could he say such a thing when closure wouldnt be an option in the first place if not for him
How could he be so selfish,yet so selfless
And in that moment she couldnt deny herself the feelings she felt were real
She couldnt deny the tears that were constantly building up
And in that hour for the first time she let go
She let go of herself and put down her walls
Only for that hour,and only for her eyes to see
In that hour she decided shed pretend what happened never did
That this hour never passed
That this hour never existed
That all the events leading up to this hour never occurred
And in that hour she wanted so badly to blame the nameless boy for her hurt
But in that hour she realized she had no one to blame but herself
In that hour she accepted how naive she was how in love with the idea of something that could be love she was
So in that hour she made herself forget
In that hour i accepted that i was this girl who was spoken of and he was and will always be within this hour nothing but a nameless boy who wanted an end
In one hour someone says hello
In one hour someone says goodbye
In one hour someone thinks they love you
And in one hour they dont think so anymore
In one hour everything can change...
