Maddie and Tyler were so excited to visit Paix. CJ told them about the new Paix and both children understood that they needed to behave accordingly. Nanngie and Grantie stayed behind as both can hardly catch up with the energetic youngsters.

Maddie and Tyler took turns in feeding Paix on meal times. Pedrosa disclosed CJ that she caught Paix smiling one day at the children. That's good news for everyone!

Every morning, the Bretts' would walk Paix to the beach down below the house. CJ sometimes wonder how happy they would be if Paix is well. She remembered their excitement the first time they saw this house. However, she never knew that Paix bought this house; although she got an inkling that he would one day.

The doctor came one day for Paix's weekly appointment.

"Paix's prognosis is good. I also noticed some changes in his mental state, an improvement in his memory. However, he still lacks the connection with his surroundings."

The doctor assured CJ that he's slowly getting there and to continue whatever activities that promote Paix's improvement in his activities of daily living.

Grant came one day and visited them. As he is a smart and sensible guy, he sensed that something is bothering CJ. But he didn't say anything to her. He thought that whatever it is, it makes her happy in return. Therefore, he was not surprised at all when she told him that she wanted to finish the rest of her  four month break in the Philippines. Grant understood and let her have her wishes.

Paix and CJ were under the mango tree. Paix's eyes were closed. CJ motioned Maddie and Tyler to keep their voices down as Paix appeared to be having a nap.

"Come with me kids! Help me pick mangoes, lemons and citrus fruits!" Jose blurted out to keep the youngsters busy and away from Paix and CJ. Maddie and Tyler followed Jose in the orchard happily.

Paix was lying on his side. CJ straightened his legs and started massaging his back gently.

CJ thought that this is another beautiful afternoon. Her nostrils are filled with the flowers from the citrus fruits that grow around the house. From where they are seated, she has a complete view of the beach down below. "I wish you can see this with your old eyes Paix!"

CJ stopped herself for fear that she woke up him up...but his eyes remained closed.

CJ started humming the song that she never sang for a while now.

I wish every night and mornin'

that I will see your face again.

So I can tell you that I love you

And hug you before you go..."

Paix's eyelashes fluttered.
