"Why'd you bet against me?" Liam asked, they had reached the hospital and Scott's mother had wheeled Liam into a room and James just followed behind before sitting down. James was on his phone, going through his Twitter feed. He couldn't believe he remembered his password for his old one. "James!"

"I heard you, just reading something." He mumbled, licking his bottom lip before looking up at Liam. "Listen Dunbar, the girl would have bet too. I just wanted to the chance to make some cash." Liam wasn't sure if he should be offended or not, someone he thought to be his friend betrayed him. "You need to relax, the world won't end because you can't play for a season."

"You're supposed to be telling me my leg is going to be fine and that I'll get to play lacrosse soon." James furrowed his eyebrow in confusion. Liam was glad he didn't lie, but hearing some sort of positive thing would have helped; maybe he should have brought Garrett.

"You want me to lie?" He asked. "Okay, I mean I've lied before. You're gonna be fine, no issues to worry about. You'll be walking in no time." He spoke sarcastically, hoping Liam would get the hint that James wasn't the comforting person. "Why'd you ask me to come? I've threatened you today, and bet against you."

"Because the worst thing you've done to me is almost get me suspended on my first day and threaten. They broke my leg, so going to the hospital alone with them was not happening." Liam explained, James furrowed his eyebrows standing up to get closer to Liam. Liam shifted uncomfortably, when James sat on the bed. "Would you go to the hospital with someone who broke you leg?"

"I got in a fight with this one guy and he sprained my wrist. Then we were stuck in the same cell for a while." James smiled, looking at the water that the Melissa McCall had brought the boy with the busted leg. James stood up, grabbing the water and headed towards the trash can. "I didn't think bringing an extra person would be useful." James paused to drink his water.

"I don't think it matters, you're here now. If Mason was there, I would have brought him instead." Liam stated, James dropped the cup in the trash and looked over at Liam; raising an eyebrow. He walked backed to the bed, sitting back next to Liam.

"Really?" Liam slowly nodded, he wasn't sure if that was really true. Maybe he felt more comfortable with James because of his Juvenal background and being able to possibly protect him if need be. "Okay, so I'll just go." He shrugged, patting Liam on his good leg. Liam's eyes widen, but he didn't ask James to stay.

It wasn't until James was just about to walk out. "Wait! How are you going to get back? I promised you a ride."

"That he did." Liam's stepfather walked back in the room, he walked in the room briefly saying he had to deal with a different patient before coming to see his son. "Let's take a look at that leg."

James let Doctor Geyer walked into the room, standing at the doorway where Scott stayed just out of sight. Liam winced in pain right as his father went to examine his leg, it was swollen and slightly a different shade. "Okay." His stepfather nodded.

"It's broken isn't it?" Liam asked, staring at his foot. Liam's father tried to sound hopeful on the situation, but everyone in that room knew that is was broken.

"It is definitely going to need an x-ray." He spoke kindly, looking over at James who gave no moral support in the situation; which somewhat confused the doctor. Most of Liam's friends would have gave some support to make Liam feel better, he had just heard of James today.

"It's broken and it's all my fault." Liam whimpered, James rolled his eyes and moved to the chair across from the bed, pulling his phone out and put it next to him.

"Wanna tell me what happened?" Geyer asked, Liam stayed silent and then he turned to James who managed to keep his comments to himself.

"He went against two juniors, one of the was or still is the captain. He plays a little rough." James smirked, as Liam looked really awkward at his last comment.
