Chapter 16 - She's A Fighter

I woke up to Jesse running his finger up and down my forearm, I smile at him as I moved closer to his warm body. 

"Morning, love." 

"Morning." I kissed his lips lightly, "how long have you been awake for?" 

"Not long." Jesse said kissing me back. 

"We should probably get up." 

"Five more minutes." Jesse said still kissing me.

"Jesse..." 

"Shhh..." Jesse kissed down to my collarbone. 

"Jesse--" I said holding back a little moan. "We really should---" 

"Okay..." Jesse said kissing my lips one last time before rolling out of the bed and onto the floor. 

"Smooth." I laughed. 

"You loved it." Jesse said getting up from the floor and smiling down at me. 

"Did I?" I continued to laugh.

"Yes, you loved it so much because you got to see my body." Jesse said kissing my lips as he pulled me out of bed. 

"Okay, I loved it." I laughed, "did it hurt?"

"A little." Jesse said rubbing his back. 

"Do you want me to kiss it better?" 

"I'd rather you kissed my lips." Jesse said wrapping his arms around my waist and kiss me again. 

"Okay..." I said as we kissed again.

After finding out that Dad liked Jesse last night, Jesse and I were closer. I mean we kissed more, we more more couple-y. I guessed we both cared what he thought, and knowing that Mum and Dad were on the road to getting back on track made everyone happy. 

Now we just needed Nan to wake up, I watched her as she just laid there. She looked so peaceful, I thought about what she would have thought about Mum and Dad, about Dad cheating. 

She would have kicked his arse, thats for sure. 

That thought made me smile, not that seeing my Nan kick my Dads arse but knowing that Mum was like a daughter to her. They was so close, would me and Jesse's mum be that close?

I don't know why that thought came to me, maybe because I saw a future for us.

Whether it was here or back home, he would follow me and I would for him. 

"Hey you okay?" Jesse asked as he sat on the arm of the chair, his arm wrapped around me. 

I nodded, "just thinking... do you think she'll wake up?" I said as I held her hand. 

"Anything is possible, she has you and your family to wake up for."

"What do you think she'll say about us?" I said looking at him but still holding her hand.

"I think she'll make sure that I won't ever hurt you, but I think she'll like it. I mean I am her favourite neighbour. 

"Your her only neighbour, other than your mum." 

"This is true." Jesse laughed, "but I think she'll be happy, I mean everytime I would see her she would always talk to me and you and would say that we would be a good couple. At the time I thought she was just saying that but maybe she's brought us together." 

"Fate." We both said at the same time I felt her hand move. 

My head whipped to her, she still laid there.
