The Spartans were marching soon they met Diametus and his band of Athenians, Thebans, Plataeans, and Eritreans "Diametus we were not expecting you" said King Leonidas. "This march is full of surprises Leonidas good and bad" said Diametus. "You brought this many men against Xerxes". "Leonidas I have 11,000 men and it was not easy gathering them and look at your 300 Spartans" said Diametus. "Look I was just trying to say King Xerxes will strike without hesitation he is merciless he has an army of a quarter of a million men" said Diametus.
