          Brock was right.

As soon as they finished with the X-Ray and CT scan, they allowed us to go back and sit with her in her room. She was still the happy, hopeful child she was when they took her down for testing. She talked with us for a while, asking Brock if Boris would be okay and when she would be able to ride Willow again. He told her that once Surprise was big enough to be left alone, she could, even though I said riding was put on hold for a while.

The doctor came in soon after and gave Alanna a clean bill of health. He found no injuries and said that she may be sore the next day, depending on how hard she landed. He even gave her a sucker for being a good sport before she was discharged.

On our way home, we stopped at the local ice cream parlor and got us each a milkshake, Brock's treat. He was spoiling her but since she did have quite the eventful day, what could it hurt? She talked non-stop until we got back to the farm. She insisted that she check on Boris, to make sure that he wasn't scared anymore. She found him drinking beside the barn and told him that she forgave him. She said that everybody gets scared but as long as Mr. Brock was around, he would be just fine. She also have him a sugar cube before coming inside for the night.

That night as I lay in bed, I couldn't help but think of how well she got along with Brock. In her eyes, he was her protector. For most girls, that was their father, but not her. Brock could do no wrong in her eyes and for a moment, I thought about how thankful I was for them both. Alanna was my daughter, whom I loved unconditionally. Brock, on the other hand, was someone that I would have never expected to be in my life. I wasn't exactly thrilled when I heard the WWE wanted us as a tag team, but now, I was glad they did. We had only known each other a short while, but he had already been there for me and Alanna more than Randy had in seven years. I couldn't help but wonder if maybe he was the one but right now, it just seemed silly to think about it. We had grown closer the past few weeks and I thought of him as a good friend, but I wasn't sure about anything more. I guess, I wanted to be careful, for Alanna's sake and maybe I was scared to take the next step. But only time would tell if it was meant to be...

Saturday came and went quickly and by Sunday, it was time to leave. Alanna mentioned to Brock that it seemed that every time we came to visit, we would have to leave too soon. He agreed with her and promised that on her fall break, she could spend the entire week here. By mid-afternoon, Brock took us to the airport. I had to take Alanna back home for school tomorrow and then, he would pick me back up at our local airport to fly to RAW. Alanna gave him a big hug and then we were off.

Back in Kentucky, I called my parents and informed them of our adventure. I had already called them after court and told them everything, but they didn't know about the wolves or anything. They also assured me that they would pick up Alanna from school Monday and take her Tuesday morning, since I would be back late. That night, Alanna and I went into a frenzy trying to do the homework she had from Friday. Eventually, we did get it done and just in time for bed too.

The next morning, Alanna and I ate breakfast and got ready for our day. Surprisingly, she didn't miss the bus, which made me get to the airport on time and thank goodness I did, because I had an unexpected visitor...

"Good morning, Casey, please have a seat. We have much to discuss." Heyman added as I boarded the jet. I was surprised to see him but knew why he was here. I was hoping the whole thing would blow over but with Randy involved, that chance was slim to none. I took a seat beside Brock as Heyman looked down at some papers laying on the table. "Brock has informed me that the Today show is a no go, which is fine. However, we do need to make some sort of public announcement. The quicker we do, the quicker this will all go away."

I look to him curiously. "We? I thought this was my problem."

He chuckles. "No, you see once you joined this team, all your problems became our problems. My name is now tied to yours and Brock's and I will not let Randy Orton ruin my good reputation. We are all here to entertain and usually, we keep ourselves out of tabloids. The media likes to find hidden lies on movie stars, not sport entertainers. Every now and then, something big will happen and the tabloids will stick their noses in it. That is exactly what happened here."

"Okay, then what do we do about it?"

He smiles. "I'm glad you asked. Once we land in New Mexico, we will arrive at the arena as usual. The McMahon's have arranged to have one of the offices as an interview space. Renee Young will be asking the questions and this will all be filmed to release to TMZ on WWE.com. I have been advised not to appear, since I was not directly involved but I will give you some pointers on what to say and what not to say."

Brock responds. "But I'll be on camera too?"

He nods. "Afraid so. Casey wasn't the only one in that photo and if you don't, more questions will arise. Now, I know they'll be a lot of questions about your past, but answer them. Tell them about Randy's drug addiction, that's why you left in the first place and for the sake of the business, do mention that he did eventually get clean. Explain that you have been a single mother for however many years and that Randy remained absent from your daughter's life. Stress the fact that he didn't even start contacting you until you started working again. Mention the threats and so on and don't forget the horse story, as that's when Brock will come in. Before we go live with the video, I'll be attaching the court documents and the scribe's notes as proof of what you're saying. Once this gets to the press, they'll have no other choice but to drop the story."

I had to give it to him, he had really thought this thing through. "And you think this will get them off our back?"

He nods. "Positive. Once we prove that Randy is unfit to parent a child, not you, they'll have no story and they'll move on to someone else. Then we can get back to normal and continue being the face of the WWE."

He seemed sure of himself and that gave me a little breathing room. Hopefully, he was right and after today, all of this would be over.
