yesterday we lost a great man to a. cruel disease
David Bowie passed away yesterday, as you probably already know, of an 18 month battle with cancer, which he sadly lost. He died surrounded by his family.
I was extremely fond of Bowie.
His music, his hair, his eyes(especially his eyes), his fashion, just him in general.
My mum.broke the news to me as such;
"Tashana, you known the bad guy out of Arthur and the Invisibles, what was his name?" She asks
"Mouthazar, David Bowie" I reply
"Yeah, well he's dead" she says as plain as day
My heart skipped a beat and I stood pretty damn still for a few seconds
"Excuse me while I cry, be right back" I say and disappear into my Nana's lounge room for half an hour.
I sat on the lounge, dead to the world, until my younger cousins found me so I went and played with them, to distract myself. It worked, a bit.
The next morning it was all they broadcasted on the news, so I watched it before I left my Nana's. My aunty, two cousins and fam was there so I didn't cry.
I miss David Bowie. I think I probably always will.
