"Finally!" You exclaimed, collapsing onto a couch in Stark towers. You just finished a mission which involved scoping out a Hydra base.
"It wasn't that bad!" Natasha commented with a smirk, sitting down next to you.
"Honestly, I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. Did you see how close that bullet was to hitting Clint?" You asked, exasperated.
"But it didn't. And that's what we can be thankful for." Clint wandered inside, resting his arms on the back of the couch, in between yours and Nat's shoulders.
"Yeah, okay. I'm off to shower. You can have my seat Clint." You said, standing up and walking off to your room to grab some clothes. I mean, who would want to change back into the super-tight catsuit with dirt and grime splattered all over it?
Walking into your room, you grabbed a/an (F/B) tank top and some sweatpants before slipping into the bathroom and locking the door behind you.

After your shower, you went into your bedroom again to grab some fluffy socks. You closed your sock draw and looked up, spotting something on the wall. Something very, very traumatising. Because of this, you accidentally let out a small shriek, before stumbling backwards and falling into your bed. You felt your heartbeat pick up and your breathing become shallower as it moved smoothly along the walls, causing you to let out another squeal.
"What's going on?" Clint swung open the door to find you in the middle of your bed, knees drawn up against your chest. "Are you okay?"
"No" was your reply. Clint came and sat beside you.
"Well, are you hurt?" He asked, looking you over for anything blue, green, purple or red whilst rubbing your back. You looked over to him.
"How could I get hurt after ten minutes in the shower?!" You cried. An itch appeared on your side, and think that it was it, you flinched and swatted at your side violently, and in finding nothing there you breathed a sign of relief.
"What's wrong?" Clint asked worriedly.
"Look for yourself!" You pointed to where the black spider lay, but you only heard a sigh from Clint.
"You're afraid of a wall?" He asked with a snigger. Your head shot up.
"What?! No, I'm not! I'm scared of the–" you looked over to the wall, only to see nothing. "Where did it go? It's gone! The spider was right here!" You stood up quickly, looking at where the spider would've got to.
"You're scared of a spider?" Clint laughed, and you turned to sass him back when you jumped backwards with a squeal.
"It's on your head! Kill it! Kill it now!" You didn't like this situation at all.
"It is?" Clint lifted his hand up against his forehead and felt something crawl onto his hand. He pulled it down to see a wolf spider sitting in his palm. "You are a very big and beautiful creature, aren't you?" Clint cooed, stroking its back to which the spider started to groom itself. Clint looked over to you, slightly cupping his hands so the spider wouldn't fall off. "Do you wanna hold it?" Clint stood up and started to walk over to you.
"Clint Barton you get your ass away from me now!" With a full on sprint, you legged it out of your room, and, as you heard footsteps behind you, swerved into the sitting room where Natasha was chilling out. "Help me!" Was all you said, hiding behind the part of the couch where Nat was sitting.
"What do you need help with?" Nat asked, just as Clint walked into the room.
"Hey Nat! Check out this thing!" You felt weight shift as extra weight was added into the couch, and you held your breath, hoping that Clint wouldn't find you. "Look at this!" Clint exclaimed, but you didn't know what he was doing.
It jumped in front of you. "Agh!" You screamed, crawling backwards and away from the couch.
"It's only a spider (Y/N)!"
"Exactly! Now get rid of it now, or so help me God..." You threatened sternly, locking eyes with Clint.
"Well, don't look now but it seems to have taken a liking to you." He smirked. Your eyes widened and you slowly turned your head to see the spider crawling onto your hands. Another squeal escaped your lips and you shot up to your feet again, running right into a firm chest. With the exhilaration of the afternoon, your head spin around in relief to only see Steve.
"Holy shit Steve!" You breathed. Steve frowned.
"What did I do?" He asked.
"Clint has a spider and he isn't going to quit bugging me!" You screamed as the spider advanced between the two of you.
"A spider?" Steve smiled.
"Don't pretend you don't know!" You hit him in the arm in a playful manner.
You only told Steve about your Arachnophobia but it wouldn't be that hard for anyone else to figure out.
By now Clint had picked up the spider and back you into a corner with it. "Clint! Quit it!" You've had enough.
"Hey man, can I talk to you for a minute?" Steve dragged Clint away, leaving Nat and you alone. You could finally breathe again.
"Holy shit, Nat. That was scary." Nat rose an eyebrow.
"Are you scared of spiders?" She asked. You sighed and hesitantly nodded.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier? I would've stopped Clint otherwise." Nat lightly shoved your shoulder.
"It's embarrassing!" You defended yourself, crossing your arms.
"Hey, uh, Y/N, could I talk to you? I threw the spider out the window." Clint rocked on his heels. You walked with him in a comfortable silence until you arrived at the balcony, overlooking the city of New York below.
"Hey, listen– I'm really sorry for creeping you out. I honestly didn't know. I thought you were playing with me!" Clint confessed, running his hands down his face.
"I didn't want you to know in the first place. How I hid it for this long I don't know." You replied, leaning against the balcony to face him. He looked over to you and slowly wrapped his arm around your shoulders. You couldn't help but lean into his touch.
"You don't have to worry about them anymore Falcon. I'll protect you from those hairy dragons!" Clint deepened his voice to somehow attempt to be majestic. You gave him a look.
"'Falcon'?" You asked.
He shrugged. "What?! I panicked."
