Chapter 11 soccer

It's been mounths since I started walking again I have been given more challanges like walking up stairs ,jogging,runnng and I am back to a normal walking girl my age if you could say that.
I can walk run jump do everything everyone else can do.
"Hey Ava come on your gonna be late" I heard my mommy yell from down stairs
I was finally able to join a soccer team about a week ago.
Coach says I'm a natural
But I still want to be the best and play like my moms and aunties
"Coming"I yell back
I grab my bag and run down stairs jumping the last four steps.
"You ready?" my mama asks
"Yep"I say popping the p

Once we get to the field I put on my boots and shin guards I walk over to me team in a huddle .

"Ok since our first game is in a few days I thought it would be nice to give you your official jerseys and team warm ups"coach said everyone cheered

"But you'll have to wait till after pratice"he said "now let get to work." He said and we all got up

We did some drills, and Samll touches , technique, then a Scrimmage to finish it off

The two goalkeepers were captains
"Samantha" Emily said
"Ava" Ashlyn said
"Ewww why did you pick the her she's the crippled"Samantha said
"Oh I'll show you how crippled I am on the field" I said and walked behind Ashlyn

After we picked teams we got set for our scrimmage Samantha glaring at me the whole time I don't know why she doesn't like me but oh well .

About half way through our scrimmage I had the ball run up to cross it as soon as I did I felt someone take my legs out from under me and I hit the ground hard  I looked up to see samantha above me smirking
I jumped up and turned to her

"I have had up to here with you" I growl at her
She just smirks she bring her hands up to push me but I catch them  making her eyes go wide
"Ava don't" I hear Emma one of my teammates say to me
"Oh don't worry I won't I don't play dirty "I say letting go of Samantha and walking away

"Ava" I heard someone yell
I look at the stands to see my mom (aka Hope)
"You ok" she said
I smiled and nodded and ran back to my spot on the field
We set again and the ball is passed to the left side of the Field then all of a sudden the ball come flying threw the air coming right at me I jump up chesting it then settling it I see a bunch of players in front of me on being Samantha
I tease them then go into action doing thing I didn't even know I could do  i tapped the ball one way then dragged it to the other way I was close to goal Samantha slide and tried to tackle me but I big my toe under the ball kicked it up and jumped over heras soon as I hit the grounding took off towards the goal I shout and it pounded the back of the net making the goal tip backwards
I smirked and walk over to Samantha "how's that for crippled"I said as coach blew the whistle say it was over
Ashlyn ran over to me

" How the heck did you do that?" she asked
"I don't know I said I  just kinda did it" I said honestly
"We all know that's a lie so why don't you just tell us" Samantha said
"I'm not lieing I really don't know it just happened" I said
" well I believe her she's never lied before." Ashlyn said
"Thank you Ashlyn " I say

Jersey time
Ava's pov
We were all sitting in a clump on the field while coach did the number reveal.

"Our new number one is a goalie"coach said holding up the jersey he turned it around and it said REED I gasped and looked at Ashkyn that you I said she looked shocked then she hugged me I hugged her back she got up took the jersey and she started the line
The list went on until he got to number 12 
I wanted this number badly for a few reasons I was born on December 12th,2012 and it was the 12th day when Hope got me out of the car  
(Let's just say it 2022 currently)
And the first time I waked after the accident I took 12 steps so 12 I a pretty important number to me
" #12 is ....."he said
He turned the jersey around and it had Solo on the back
I smiled jumped up and got my jersey.

After all the Jerseys were given I ran to Ashlyn and jumped in her arms she laughed and caught me spinning me around
"I got 12" I cheer
Ashlyn puts me down and laughs " yeah I know I was there"she said
I had a small crush on her but I wasn't going to admit it now.
"Good job girls Ashlyn's mother said as she walked over to us
"Thanks" we say I unison
"Hey Ava we are planning a pool party soon would you like to come" Ashlyn said
"Sure I'll just ask my mom"I say
"Bye blue eye  " Ashlyn said
"Bye Blondie"I said back smiling.
