The state cup

Ava's pov
Our first game has finally come and I am more than excited and nervous we start the tournament for the state cup (just like the World Cup just with kids)

We are going aginst the yellow jackets they are in our group along with the barracudas , the wild cats , the dragons ,then us the timber wolves  we are considered the group of death  which I take pride in this is the first time this team has ever been in the group of death we are considered the weakest team but boy there in for a big surprise when they see my team on the Field .
"AVA WATCH OUT" I heard Emma yell right before I got hit in the back of the head with a ball
I turned around to see Emma running towards me

"OMG I'm so sorry" she said
"It's all good just wait til I'm actually on the field to kick balls at me" I said with a smile
"Ok" she said with a chuckle and running back on the field

"Well look at you being all nice " someone said from behind me
I turned praying to God it wasn't the person I thought it was  but to my  luck I turned to see Samantha
" I have always been nice you were just to busy  being mean to notice" I said back
" Whatever" she said 
I rolled my eyes and started walking on the field
"Hey I wasn't done talking to you"Samantha yell at me be fore grabbing my pony tail and pulling me back
I pulled away from her
"I don't care if you were done talking or not I'm done listening to you" I said and walked away and started warm ups for our game

*Game time*
Avas pov
I was on the bench for the start of this game
Ashlyn was in goal and Samantha was striker up top
The ref blew the whistle in the game against the yellow jackets was on
The first 25 mins of the game was pretty quiet both teams had equal position and if you opportunities that we did have the goalie blocked same on the other side
Then in the 36th minute  Emma got the ball and carried it up the right flank she passed it to Anna she took it to the box and was about to take a shot we Samantha came a took the ball from her taking a shoot and sending it right to the post it bounced back on the field and Hanna went after it she kicked it to Samantha because the golies was t watching her Samantha kicked in to the net everyone cheered even me then more opportunities became open as we broke through their back line.
By the end of the first half we had 2 points to 1 Samantha having both of them and a yellow card.

Locker room
"Ok ladies we know what works keep doing so pass the ball quicker and have sharper touches  don't get comfortable stay on your toes ." Coach said

"Ava your coming in for Samantha" coach said 
"What" Samantha and I say in unison
"Ava is coming  good in for you"coach said again slower
"But why I'm scoring I'm doing my job" she whined
"Yes I know that but you are also on a yellow card right now  and your not playing as part of the team"coach said with a hint of anger
"We will talk about this at pratice tommorw but the decision has been made" coach said
"Ughh"Samantha said and stormed off
"Yay my bestie gets her first cap on our team" Ashlyn said smiling like an idiot
I smile at her and hug her 
"knock them dead number 12"Ashlyn said
I smiled and went on the field and started to 2nd half

It was the 88th minute
We were up by 2  
The score was 4to 1
I got one goal and one assist
We went into stoppage time which was 3 minutes 
Emma had the ball running it up the right flank  I made the run on the left  Emma passed it to Abigail who was in the middle defenders crowded around her and she passed me in the blink of an eye I was  swamped with defenders I went into action I nutmegged on girl and I slipped around two defenders I kicked the ball between the last defenders legs sliding behind her  I took off for the goal and I wasn't backing down I ran right at the goalie she panicked and I shoot and it rammed the back of the net .
The ref blew the whistle saying game is over and we had won  game one down a lot more to go.
I ran to Ashlyn in goal and tackled her with a hug
"Gezz girly one day your going to kill me doing that" she said and I laughed
"We won game one down" I said
Ashlyn smiled
"You got that right we might actually have a chance of winning the state cup this year" she said
We went over to the team coach talked to us about staying focused and pratice / recovery tommorw
"Great game ladies you all deserved that win" he said
"Yeah some more than other" Samantha said glaring at me
I rolled my eye and went straight to my mom
"Great game baby girl  " she said
"Thank you mommy" I said
" where did you learn how to play like that " Tobin asked
"I learned from watching the best I say gesturing to all of them
"Awwww so cute and well said " Ash said as she picked me up and hugged me
Coach came over and took my moms aside and talked to them I don't know what about but it was something important

At home bed time
"Mommy" I say
"Yes baby" Hope said
"What were you talkingto coach about" I asked
She smiled and said
"you will see tomorrow" she said with a smirk
"Now get some sleep you had a big day" she said
"Ok good night mommy love you"
"Love you to" Hope said
