#16 - The Last Hour

New Years Eve.

"Elena? Open the door!"
I hear Kiera bang on the door.

I get up off the floor and open the door, "Yes?"

"Come on, don't lock yourself up, let's go."

We walk down the hall but to see Grayson and Vanessa again..

Kiera's eyes widen, "Oh Grayson!"

I grab her hand, "Kiera no."

"Ah, Kiera and Elena.. How's life?" He smirks.

"Incredible." I glare at him.

"Yea right,"
He turns to Vanessa,
"You head downstairs okay?"

She nods and walks away.

He walks closer,
"Now, care to explain?"

"Let's take this outside shall we?" I grab Kiera and Grayson follows us outside the house.

"What do you wanna know?" I say, carelessly.

"Why the hell are you at my party?"

"Is that all you wanna know?! For your information--"

"Oh please, you broke up with me because apparently you couldn't date anymore! So why do you care that I'm with Vanessa?"

As much as I shouldn't care.. I did.. Very much.

"I--"

"I'm done, Elena, what we had was nothing! You're just like every other girl, you're a player!"

I stare at him intensely as the air gets flushes of hot and cold.

"You Elena."
He steps closer,
"You're a complete. Utter. Useless. Bi--"

"NO!"
I yell and half my skin goes orange, the other half blue, I transform to something.. I had no idea what it was.

I lift Grayson up by his shirt,
"I will not let you treat me like shit!"
Fire and ice particles glow from my skin as I get more angry.

11:50pm.

"You will pay for what you have been doing to me." I say in an angry tone.

"Let him go!" Yells Vanessa I could hear her yell in tears.
I turn to her with my fist on fire,
She screams and runs,
I grab Grayson.

Meanwhile in Remainia..

Years.. And decades have past, no Remainia wasn't deserted, but Samantha kept her promise and she did look after the borders..

But one day she realised the fire border had grown over the ice border by a few inches.
She knew she'd have to get Elena back now, but she'd have to be quick.
Really. Quick.

Samantha's POV:

I walk down to the border to see what was going on this morning,
As I was walking there, I thought of how mum reacted when I told her the time difference..

-Flashback-

"Mum! You don't get it, every hour that passes in Earth is a year for us! And since you made the spell for Elena to stay 6 months in Earth..
She stays 6 months in Earth's time."

"Ugh! And you knew about this?!"

"I.. Only just found out a few years ago."

She sighs, "Very well.. Elena will arrive next year, am I right?"

"Some where around that.."

She nods.

-End Of Flashback-

I look at the border to see the fire side had taken over our side (ice) by a few inches.
Oh no.. The borders need a leader, they need Elena, now.

Back to Elena's POV:

Back in Earth..

As I was about to smash ice and fire at Grayson, a girl falls out of the portal.

I quickly turn to see..

"Samantha..?"

I drop Grayson on the ground and look at her, ready to listen to what she had to say.
