I had offered many times to help Monty out with the radios as i was his girlfriend as i was worried about him over working himself and i was the best electrician on the ark. Every time i offered to help him he would push me away and get mad. This was one of those moments but the only difference is that i finally pushed back,
"why the hell not Monty! You know damn well i can help you so why the hell not!?!" i yelled back at him after he mumbled a no for the hundredth time,
"Because i have to do this myself!" he yelled back standing up quickly knocking over things
"WHY" i said jumping back a little
"because i feel so useless, everyone is doing stuff to help out around here and i cant even figure out how to work a radio!" he said defeated, sinking to his knees and putting his face in his hands. I walked over to him kneeing beside him and rubbing soothing circles on his back,
"baby you don't have to do this alone, although everyone may not appreciate you trying to contact the ark, a few of us do and we don't care whether you do it on your own or with someones help because you have and will do so many amazing things for this place that we all will appreciate even if its with help from other people." i said pulling his hands away from his face and kissing his cheek softly,
"now let me help please?"
"okay" he replied kissing me on the lips softly mumbling a "thank you"
