September 2011, 1700 Hours - Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan

as the helicopter finally landed at the base, Jack hops out with the other soldiers and reported to the captain for debriefing. once that was over, a private jogged over to Jack to give him a letter. "yo sarge, someone wrote you a letter" he said to him, "thanks" Jack responded as he took the envelope. he walked to his room and opened it, it was from Maki

"Jack

if you're reading this letter, i'm hoping that you're still okay there in Afghanistan. and i'm wishing that you would understand what has happened to me throughout these years of not seeing you. i'm pregnant and Kichirou said that we're gonna get married soon. when i thought of it, i was thinking of what happened to you on your last day here. i felt so sorry, i was worried about you and i was scared that you might go insane or kill yourself. there should be another girl waiting for you to find her and i know it. if you're still depressed about it, i'll try to wait for you in London after the wedding. i'm sorry

-Maki Yokoyama"

as he read the entire letter, Jack began shaking and began to breathe heavily. he crumpled the letter into a paper ball and threw it into the ground then sighed.

1300 Hours - Occupied Camp from yesterday

Jack was assigned to guard the outpost while the other marines work hard on occupying more camps for the americans. he still looked down after reading the letter last night, he suddenly spotted what seemed to be a small group of civilians looking for refuge. he aimed his bullpup rifle at the civilians and became aggressive. "oi! get outta here!" he yelled at the civilians as he aimed for one of their heads. "no no no..." one of the civilians said as they began to panic and ran straight for the gate. Jack opened fire at them, killing them. he rushed down the watch tower and checked their bodies for explosives but nothing was found. he suddenly heard the voice of an innocent little girl being chased to the gate by three armed enemies. he reloaded, opened fire and killed not only the three armed men but also the little girl. "Parsons!" the captain yelled as approached him "what the hell are you doing!? we're not supposed to be killing civilians!". he ignored the captain's yells and kept firing into more refuge seekers. he suddenly stopped and dropped the rifle then began to breathe heavily. he took out his sidearm and aimed it at his head. "no!" the captain stopped him and grabbed his pistol. he was eventually picked up and taken back to Camp Shoraback. he was discharged for aggression and brutality as he boarded a transport plane returning to England. when he finally returned to London, he promised himself to destroy his memories of Yokoyama and so he did.
