Chapter 8 - Contact

after being able to occupy an abandoned vehicle, Jack drove all the way back to Kano where the foreign mercenaries may have taken Yukino. he suddenly grew hungry and so he stopped for lunch and decided to look for a public computer to contact Field. once he was able to connect to the base in Gibraltar, Field's face would suddenly appear on the screen. "oh hold on, cover me" Field said as he set down a game controller to look at his screen. "Commander?" Jack spoke into the microphone. "Jack....sitrep?" Field asked Jack in concern. "Yukino's been caught again, they even said they need to keep her pure tomorrow at midnight" Jack responded. "you mean the full moon tomorrow at midnight?" Field asked. "yes...i suppose" Jack positively responded again, realizing what the moon's phase will be on the following day. "bugger..." Field mumbled and shook his head as he looked down. "why? what's going on?" Jack asked in concern. "i think i know what you're dealing with there..." Field replied as he looked at his own screen. "can you tell me...?" Jack questioned the commander. "alright...what you're dealing with as of now is the International Salvation Coalition, an 'around-the-world' doomsday cult that was supposed to be shut down after 2000. archives say that they sacrifice a woman's purity and force them to bear a possessed child. SAS and Spetsnaz have been at them since the fall of the Soviet Union, their last attempt of the ritual was at Portugal back in 2005 when they kidnapped the italian prime minister's niece, the SAS rescued her safely with the cult dying down straight after" Field responded. "so that's their plan? bringing the end of the world by forcing an innocent female to have a demon baby?" Jack asked. "yes...and unless you want them to get on with it, you need to stop them" Field responded. "the RAF just sent a supply drop outside the town just west of it, i gotta go..." Field said to Jack as he suddenly disconnects. Jack would eventually recieve the coordinates on his smartphone and so he sets out to obtain what was in the RAF's supply drop. what he managed to get from the supply drop was the usual SA80 bullpup rifle with a smiling rabbit sticker on the back end of it along with recon equipment. when he returned to his vehicle, he tracks down Yukino's phone once again and got a surprising result, she was just in a nearby village just southeast of the town and so he gets his weapons and equipment ready and decided to send an encrypted message to the commander

"set extraction point to the village just southeast of Kano, ground support may be required"

after sending the message, he sets up camp by the supply drop and collects everything he can use from it including some rations. he ate some of them in the evening then eventually drove off to a spot where no one can find him.
